Which DJ inspired you to start.....
Just curious who really made you say "I want to do what he/she does".
And don't try to come up with the most original and eclectic answer. Even if it's one of the top 10 commercialized DJ's, I want to hear it.
Mine is Markus Schulz. I had heard many before him, but there was just something that really clicked with me when watching and listening to his set.

I wouldn't really call them DJs tho, more producers, but yeah you get my point lol
Yeah, I know. I have some of their old stuff. I think that and Josh Wink were two of the first CD's I ever had. You know, when all of it was still called 'underground'.
I want to say Herbie Hancock with Rockit, but maybe I should say Grand Mixer DXT because he was the guy doing the scratching in that song. Extremely primitive scratching by today's standards but at that time it blew my mind. The synth and drum machines in the song didn't hurt either.

Cosmic Gate
their 01 or 02 trance energy mix was the the best mix ever!!! that mix is what got me into it.
George Acosta was the reason I bought a ticket to Airport.
Ferry was also there...game over for George.
i bought decks coz traktor was fucked
years before that i started making mixes on the comp, was a natural progression from listening to dance music, before i'd heard any dj's
but i guess after listening to tiesto @ innercity 98, that's when it changed from something i did every now and then, to an obsession

Alot of DJs and producers have inlfuenced my sound along the way, as far as the very beginning I would have to say Thee-O when I was statiuoned in California.

yes i will also have to change my answer to DJ Octane
Nigel Richards.
I guess it helped seeing Halo, Paul Johnson, and Ralphi Rosario throwing it down at the same event back when I lived near Chicago yeeears ago.
Well, I DJed parties at 14 years old.... but it was all hip-hop etc.
1994-1995: Kimbal Collins and Doug Richards aka DJ Ivan R (now Assistant DA in Houston) to buy tables... later Sasha and John inspired me to persue DJing more seriously.
The same one that has inspired me not to touch my decks or turn on EDM in three months....
