Jesus Camp
Not sure if this is a repost; I tried searching for it and came up with nothing.
"There's a new church like this every two days in America."
[Note the kids getting "slain in the spirit" and having "spiritual seizures" on the floor.]
"At five I got saved because I just wanted more of life."
We can, I guess, assume that at five years old this kid knew everything about what a Jesus-free life had to offer him and decided that it wasn't enough -- rather than, you know, trustingly accepting some adult's ideas about what he was supposed to believe.
That would be reasonable, right?
Here is one segment of the "Jesus Camp" movie:
"Way to be obedient."
That chick in the pink in the 2nd vid = ftw. I bet she's slut!!
Hmm, intense. I don't think it's the kids to much wanting to do it , I think it's more the parents that put the kids there. I don't know any 8 year old wanting to be in a Jesus camp, unless they were brought up strictly a kid of God.
I went to church camp at the age of 10-12 but, it's more like a Sunday school thing during the week. We just sang some songs, did crafts, ate, and played sports.
what a whole lotta bullshit.
Although I must say, there's nothing new it that. The muslims do it, the Hindus do it. People in every religion do that. People want their children to follow the same religion as they do. Of course, a line needs to be drawn between brain washing and bringing them up in a Christian way. What the kids are saying in the video is bullshit. They've been fed those lines to speak in front of the camera.
It was posted before. But still, that's some scary shit.

Christian camps for the most part aren't really that different from secular ones. For the most part, the parents are christians, so that's basically the different. They pray, go to church every night, but 90% of it is a fun camp. I had fun when i went church camping.
"you see...at bible camp...we made this flow chart or whatevr, and...we found out that...god created man, and man created transformers....so...transformers are a gift from god!!"
I am apalled and disgusted.
They can go fuck themselfs.

This is truly sad.
[Waits for the hardcore Christians(or ALT's) to come on and defend the vids]
Give them kids about 15 years and they'll be living in some commune in the middle of a forest in some back water mid western state, firing high powered rifles at law enforcemant officials etc.
Religions a dangerous thing.
its not often i catch myself thinking 'mental note: if i run into that girl on the street, punch her in the face without hesitation, she won't mind'
im gonna join that church so i can meet the girl in the pink..........
Oh man, the facial expression on that girl's face when the little bible humper went and talked to her. I believe it was
then
then
followed by
after she explained the story to her friends. They in turn went

that's right!
rise up against the democrats for jesus!
...man and i thought the militias in africa were bad.

Wow, that's actually really disturbing. I mean, my parents took me to Sunday School until I was about 12, and I went to "Vacation Bible School" (pretty much what Frenchie mentioned, only it was one week during the summer) when I was 7-10. Outside of that, I'm happy I didn't have anything forced down my throat like that. Eurgh.
I went to a bible camp like that for like 6 years as a kind (maybe one of the reasons I'm so screwed up)... There were sports and arts and crafts and things, but the majority of the time it was people talking about how everything we do must be for the greater glory of God, and how if we don't listen to everything Jesus said we'd burn in hell. They also instructed us to actively recruit everyone we could as Christians, and that we were fighting a religious war against the Islamics, who were made out to be taking over the world.
