First time at Sonic and CZ!

so last night i popped both my sonic and CZ cherry.... and i was really impressed by both! sonic was a lot nicer than i expected, friendly crowd, nice sound system, friendly staff, not to mention that the dj's Peter Baily and Richie Santana were amazing!

and going to comfort zone was like one of the most fun times i have had in my life! my question is.... is it always that good at CZ?? cuz nathan barato and Deko-ze were just killing it, btw it was my first time seeing either of them (i know i am a rookie).... and yeah CZ was sketchy but not so sketchy that i really felt uneasy at all....

and also.... is CZ 19+????? cuz i saw a fair bit of high school aged kids there..... which was sorta weird

Only upstairs where they serve booze. It's up to the bouncers to decide who is of age for downstairs is my guess.

That's exactly how I felt when I went there for the first time. People scared the hell out of me and told me not to go because it is BEYOND sketchy. I loved it, and although it was sketchy, it was not nearly as sketchy as people made me believe it was going to be. Everyone was in their own "comfort zone" doing their own thing, so I didn't feel intimidated at all.

Zone brings out the best in DJ's...I need my CZ fix it has been to long

I'm glad you had a great time when you went. Nathan and Deko-Ze always bring their A-Game to Zone.

Zone always has a great crowd that's always there to have a good time, enjoy the music, and give'er on the dancefloor. No BS at Zone. No lightshows, no smoke machines, no lazers. Just the best DJs Toronto has to offer, and the best people to party it up with.

yeah it was amazing every track they threw down was banging, deko-ze's energy was insane..... great guy!

and to answer your question, YES, the zone is always that good. It is a love/hate relationship...cause the zone sucks you in and you just want more and more...a drug in and of its own right. But DannyPink is right, no ruffles, just raw, dirty music, and the crowd that loves it.

Nathan Barato is reknown for his sic zone sets, and Deko-Ze...well, he's a legend, isn't he?

Downstairs is as they say...bouncers discretion cuz there's no booze. Upstairs, 19+.

CZ yesterday was mental!

Walked in to Deko-ze playing World hold on - he also played Lola's theme and loads of other golden oldies, was hopping around from the second I walked in.

Carlo Lio, I am in love with! He played a great set and I raved my tootsies off!

The last guy I was there for (Tim Patrick?) was also amazing, dirrrty electro all the way.

Left at 4.15.

Great times.
