Thumbs up Newcleus - Jam On It (Claude VonStroke and Galen Disco Kryptonite Mix)

Newcleus is one of the biggest reasons I spin records - From the time I was the ripe old age of 5, I was absolutely obsessed with the late 80's "North American Electro" (thanks for the term Karim ) sound, and "Jam On It" was one of the tunes I used to drop like it was my job!

20+ years later, Claude VonStroke gives that famous bassline a crack and really, really did a nice job with it. Staying true to the chill nature of the original, he basically lets the original bassline do all the work with minimal interference. I can't even describe how happy I was to hear this, and even happier I am to be able to revisit this tune.

Will be a staple in my repetoire for quite some time

9/10

Cheers.

And furthermore if hip hop/rap still sounded like this, I might still be into it

more remixes out now. indeed the CVS was done sometime ago.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on May-23-2007 15:35:

yeah this song is incredible. When I first heard it I was under the impression that the remix was done by VonStroke and Galen Behr, as it is STILL labeled as on Beatport.
