Idea Refuge presents Saturday Night Techno - An Ableton mix.

The inspiration for this mix came after sitting on my ass Saturday night with nothing better to do. I didn't actually record it until this afternoon, but I planned out the tracklist and warped my tracks Saturday. I've only been familiarizing myself with Ableton for the last three weeks or so, so I still have a lot of improving to do. One of the things I struggle with is EQ mixing, especially because I don't have a MIDI controller to control the frequencies as fast as I'd like to. That's something I will get the hang of with time. Also, the effects I used while mixing didn't get recorded in the final mix for some reason, can any Ableton heads explain why? I'm using Live 6. The mixing is O.K., sounding better at times than others. Keep in mind that this is the first Ableton mix I've recorded , so don't set your expectations high. It's a mix I did for fun with some good tracks -- not to be taken very seriously. So sit back, relax, eat popcorn, dance, or do whatever it is you do, and I hope you enjoy! Feedback is always welcomed!

DOWNLOADING!

still downloding but FYI you can use "key" to map keys to ableton like bass cuts and faders.

Yeah I've used key before but only as "kill" switches. Can I assign a key to the knob individually? I want more control over them without having to point and click each time.

Sorry for the double post!

Ref, great tracks man! You do need to get yourself a midi controller though, it makes ALL the difference! There were some rough spots, but since this is your first ableton mix, there's always room for improvement!

Keep it up bro!
