Inching closer to Doom's Day !
I'm surprised no one made a thread on this. The doom's day clock has been advanced to 11:55. The clock is a symbolic representation of where the world stands with regards to a dooms day scenario. 12:00 representing the doom's day. The threat of a nuclear war plus climatic changes associated with global warming prompted the scientists to advance the clock from 11:53 to 11:55.

Looking at it's Wiki, it looks like it's been closer before. I don't see anything happening at all. In my opinion, nuclear holocaust is something that is just threatened. People may fear it, may be afraid of it and things may indeed get very close to it in the future. However, in the end I think people value their own lives and aren't nuts enough to destroy an entire planet. I don't ever see it happening.

Recommended Activities * All Americans should continue to be vigilant, take notice of their surroundings, and report suspicious items or activities to local authorities immediately. * Everybody should establish an emergency preparedness kit as well as a communications plan for themselves and their family, and stay informed about what to do during an emergency situation. ARE YOU PREPARED? |
