Read This! audio production magazines?

aside from audiomidi, are there any print production magazines that you subscribe to? any that concentrate on home production?

it'd be nice to have some interviews, reviews, screenshots laying around to read AFK...

Sound On Sound is about the only magazine i regularly bother to read.

Computer Music is so well layed out and has all sorts of things in there. If you need to go a little bit more in depth the maybe Sound on Sound is the way to go... Both fine publications

I'd say keep your money...most of the mags are just promotion for the products etc...and you'll always find all the info (and more) on the internet...

partly true, but they do offer some helpful tips...just recently i was using ambient track tips for an ambient remix of my group's song..but yeah, some of it is promotion, but hell it's all quite entertaining and worth the money IMO. the reviews are good as well.

most of it is just biased...I still prefer tips and such from here...then from a magazine full of mofo's who think they are some kind of hot shit... :-/

my experience with the guys in background of one of these mags isn't really good...so I'd say...nah...biased bullshit isn't worth the money...

it's mostly not even worth the paper it's printed on :-(

There's plenty of stuff about audio production buddy..especially because home production requires you to be the engineer as well... for gear reviews, software reviews, audio recording techniques... there's plenty of stuff in there. Audio production isn't limited to sitting at your home computer dude... audio production involves the recording and mixing of audio, which tends to use a mic from time to time...oh yea, and those things called studios with those big things called consoles...but wait, i think the techniques apply to all recording... I guess a wave form is different at home than anywhere else
