I think you need to find another job where cool people work. If I hadn't been playing EDM at work, I probably wouldn't have met or been talking to TranceSeeker and a few others. Listening to some TRANCE brought us together. *PLUR*

I'm listening to Disco and some high energy music right now.

never. i am not embarassed to say i listen to it but i do try to give them a mini-education every time if they refer to EDM as TECHNO.

i get this sh*t all the time ...i usually correct them and walk away.

I work with hippies who like Grateful Dead and assorted jammy bands.

At least I get to "occasionally" listen to light haus and trance, lol.

They think the techno and harder haus is a bit much.

I have some coworkers that listen to whatever good electronic music I provide. Another co-worker makes beats on an Akai.

If someone gives me shit about whatever i'm listening to I know their kidding but they know i'm serious because I could school them.

Sometimes I just ignore people. I have totally gotten responses like the OP says.. "hey, where is the disco ball" etc.

Honestly, I gave my boss (currently a CTO for a semiconductor company) a couple of my mixed trance cds..He loved them ahahaa

I get that alot too, but I'm not embarassed about it. I get more annoyed than anything else. I used to always try and "educate" them, but there is no point, because they just have no fucking clue. I can care less what they think of me. Infact, I like it when they think I'm "different" because of the music I listen to.

Let them listen to their gay commercialized Top 40 shit for all I care!

Posted by Jeffree on Jan-19-2007 00:34:

I get embarrassed when someone catches me listening to Tranceport or something like that.

Errr I mean, what Junior said.

I tell them to shut the fuck up and turn it up. They can kiss my ass. Nothing like bumping some Digweed or Eric Prydz at work and having everyone say "god turn that stuff down!" And I'll say, "sorry! NYE flashback...brb".
