State of Muzik December (Final State of Muzik) BT, Micah, Tim Deluxe..

And here is the final installment of my State of Muzik Series = )

I will continue doing monthly mixes but I needed something more original name wise. I didnt feel like State of Muzik was my own and think that with my next series of mixes ill feel more comfortable with the overall feel of them. I will be taking more chances with my next mixes and using Ableton for what I believe it was made for. They will be more creative and personal mixes. Along with the change in style I will also include a small video of myself explaining the songs for those who dont like to read so much hehe and ill also be using art from deviantart to visually show what I think that mix represents. So next month will begin the start of Reflections = )

I decided to jump right into things this time around which I rarely do unless I think the track needs energy from the beginning. I started off with Shiloh's new track Vice and what a great track this is. Alot of energy and a nice electro feel to it that I think most people will really enjoy.

I decided to follow up with a beautiful track I heard Sasha use in his recent Creamfields set. This was just one of the many amazing songs he played. I highly recommend everyone find that set and download it immedietaly. The track is by Tim Deluxe and is titled Espoos Rose. A great housey track that has a beautiful piano line and crazy breakdown.

Following that is a brand new remix from Max Graham of The Outsanding Common Grounds To Be Given. If you remember Twilight you'll know what to expect from Max Graham and more proof that he almost never misses with his productions. Great track that you'll hear in alot of my live sets to come.

Up next will be a hit or miss with most everyone I can already tell. Its the Discount Rhino Vocal mix of Gabriel & Dresden's Dangerous Power. A great track I feel with exceptional vocals that most will absolutely hate. You cant deny the energy and groove this songs has though and if you get around to reading the lyrics you'll understand why I felt it necessary to use this track.

At this point I felt it was time to get more into the progressive trance side of things. Jaytech is another producer I fancy and for him to remix a Micah track was almost too perfect. The bassline is killer and the melody in the breakdown sneaks in so well and the track just takes off leaving you with a smile on your face.

What's their to say about anything David West touches? Its always perfect and his remix of Headstrongs The Truth. Who better to be on vocals then Tiff Lacey who you'll remember from ATB's Ecstacy and Marrakech also Oakenfolds Hypnotized. Its a great combination of people on this track and the result if an uplifting and beautifully constructed song that im in love with right now.

Im a huge fan of BT and everyone should know that. Im very fond of his vocals as well their soft and work well with any type of song. Mark Norman got around to remixing Somnambulist and they added a great amount of energy to an already great track. I hope all BT fans enjoy this nice little remix = )

Right up after Somnambulist is a brand new track from Lange and Gareth Emery titled Another You, Another Me. If you know their previous work you'll be familiar with the structure of their songs which can be repetitive but it works real well this time around. When the melody gets sucked out and the bassline kicks back in its a huge suprise that got me dancing the first time around hehe

Richard Durand has been huge lately and I really enjoyed his remix of Lethal Industry. This time around he decided to take on another Tiesto track you should know titled Flight 643. I think he added the tribal house type touch to it that the original didnt have at all. I really enjoy this track but I know most wont because most werent fond of 643 to begin with hehe

Flight 643's placement might seem a bit odd once you realize whats coming next and what played before it reason being that it wasnt included until the last minute for a friend of mine. I do think it works in keeping with the spontaenity of my mixes which I like. Keeping people on their toes tends to be real fun for me and has been one of the things many people really enjoy. So following 643 is Carl B. feat. Breaking Benjamin- Diary of Jane (Sean Tyas Rework). A very odd pairing you would think an emo rock band (if you want to label them that) being remixed by a trance producer and then getting an extra kick by Tyas. Its very different which is what attracts me to it. People who dont listen to trance or house will be able to at least connect with this track and have fun with it. I know this because ive introduced it to numerous people who never listen to my mixes to get an opinion and they enjoyed which was my main reason for throwing it in this mix.

With little time left I decided to start slowing things down with another beautiful Breakfast track. An ace guy and ace producer who is definitely going places with his unique little take on trance. His sound is as vibrant and fresh as ever with Drunk in the Grass at Sunset. I'll never get over this breakdown and melody its just great. I really think everyone wil be able to just lay back and truly relax.

Following the Breakfast track is a remix he sent me of Viridian's Sunhump. Remixed early this year by Richard Durand but now being approached in a completely different manner that is just great. When that guitar kicks in and the track slowly begins to build its seriously great I know everyone will enjoy this track.

As usual I went for something completley different to close off the mix. Im a huge fan of Travis and this was the original trailer song for Garden State for those who dont know. Love Will Come Through is very uplifting and just a beautiful track all around. I hope you enjoy = )

Link is in the title and thanks for all the support everyones given my State of Muzik series but I promise Reflections will be a step above what you've heard so far.
