hi LATA's

My name is Jane (nyta) and I just moved from New York City to OC (huntington beach) ...

Was hoping I can meet some of the LATA's ... and was wondering what the best way to meet ya'all is?

Hey Jane! Welcome! I live like 10 minutes from you. Best way to meet any TA's.. just come to any of the events posted..especially ones that we have rollcalls for. You should go to the FLUX party tonight! It's only 30 minutes from you!

as karen said go to the flux party. also there is a party tomorrow in seal beach. its located at 1511 Ocean Ave # A, Seal Beach, CA 90740. there will be TAs spinning and everyone having a gay olde time. i would recommend saturday if not both.

Good info, thanks!!! I just checked the thread for it. Hope I'm not asking a stupid question, but are these all local DJ's? Looks interesting!

I've visted LA about four times before I moved here ... in regard to OC ... I've only been here once, which was when I interviewed and got offered the job.

So yeah, everything is new!

Got here last friday, so today makes it my one week!

Yeah ..unfortunately all the big dj nights in So Cal tend to be on Saturday since a lot of those dj's are on the East Coast or San Diego on Friday night playing. But there are certain exceptions like when PvD or Digweed comes to town.

If you need any other info on OC, (like *ahem* pho restaurants.. ahha)I'd be happy to help you too!

Sorry, I'm just assuming since she's from NYC, she likes her choice of big dj names on Friday Nights instead of Saturdays (when I went there, Friday was the better night.) I love local djs long time!! I thought you knew! LOL

Hi Jane welcome to SoCal!

Since your in OC your close to Newport Beach which means every thursday youll have a chance to see some big name DJ's @ Tentation Ultra Lounge...If it doesnt mess with your work schedule on friday.

Great thing about OC is its a little more then an hour drive from downtown san diego or hollywood.

For Giant events you have:
Tentation in OC on thrusdays
Belo in downtown SD on friday
Vanguard in Hollywood on sat
Typically its going to be the same DJ's so you have 3 opportunities to see them in 1 week.

Gabriel and Dresden are playing tonight in SD but I would head out to the flux show, going to be a big TA turn out. If you still want to catch G&D you can see them @ vanguard tomorrow night.

i saw the thread and i am considering coming by. just spoke to a co-worker and i hear it's a few minute drive from huntington beach.
