Mixers with MIDI ( DJM800 or Xone 92 ? )

Ive just had a mad impulse and bought an EFX1000. Was watching vids of Eddie Halliwell and James Zabiela on it and couldnt help myself.

Im planning to spend my student load this month on a new mixer with MIDI so that everything works in time. Has anyone got or used either the DJM800 or Xone 92 and what was your fav? Any other suggestions would be welcome and Ill look into them too. Just now Im swaying towards the Xone 92. Ive never used it but the faders on the DJM 800 seemed stiff to me and I like to chop it up.

Thanks for your views

if you've never used the 800 then why would you say that you think the faders are stiff? they're not...anyways. use the search button there are plenty of discussions specifically on this topic. in fact a couple months ago i wrote a review when my DJM800 came in so you could look for that. there was also a huge discussion about 800vs92 recently. honestly the way things are looking id wait and get either the xone 3d or korg zero8 or if not the djm800 but thats just my opinion.

They are both top notch mixers. I have mixed on both of them and I think it all comes down to personal preference. They both sound great and both of them are filled with features.

I actually own a DJM800 and I have no complaints.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 800 has more midi controls than the 92.

The 800 has full midi control, the Xone 92 only has MIDI control from the crossfader, and the fliter sweep knobs (as well as midi clock).

Don't forget the Ecler Nuo-4 for MIDI control as well.

Ive never used the mixer but Ive had a look at it in the shops and the faders didnt seem as light as any other Pioneer mixers. Think the 3D is a bit over the top for what I need but Ill check out the other ones mentioned aswell. Cheers
