Israeli Troops Kill 10-Year-Old Palestinian Girl
| quote: |
Israeli Troops Kill 10-Year-Old Palestinian Girl A ten-year-old Palestinian girl has died after being shot in the back of the head by Israeli troops in the West Bank town of Anata. The girl Abir Aramin was shot on Friday while she was outside her school on recess. Her father, Bassam Aramin, helped found Combatants for Peace -- a group of former Israeli and Palestinian fighters. Aramin said that his daughter's death will not deter him from trying to work for peace. He said We have no choice but to continue to save more children from falling in this dirty conflict." |
come on now it was an honest accident.
IDF would never want to hurt a child....

I agree that this is a terrible event, but the article makes no mention of what exactly happened. Was she hit by a stray bullet? Did the troops go out of their way to shoot her in the head? Was it intentional or accidental?
Hard to make a huge judgment from such a incomplete account regardless of the tragedy.

Not a fan of god or wars waged in his name and democracy is alright as well as long as it's not an excuse to let off bombs.

Simply from an average demographic about 8-10 kids around the age of 10 where probably killed by those bombs.
Around 6000 every day die at that age because no one cared to help them get clean water to drink and no one says anything. I've met kids from Angola who at the age of 10-12 had been roped into a militia, repeatedly pack raped and could use an AK47 or SLR before they could use a pencil to write their own name, no one cared about them.
Iranian kids around that age strapped bombs to themselves to attack Iraqi tanks, Palestinian kids blow their fingers off or die making pipe bombs to do the same to Israeli armoured vehicles.
Its a sad, ugly old world and made even sadder when people decide to do nothing but give it lip service to make a specific point about something from a political perspective rather than a humanitarian one. Sure, we could care and make a difference once the politics are out of the way because they always end up skewing people's values on children's life it seems.
If you do care, do something a little more for her memory than just cut and paste a media report.
Because ultimately youre asking us to see if we care more about a child from Africa, Iraq, Iran, Palestine or anywhere else who meets their end being dragged into these kinds of things and it is degrading to children who get killed in these circumstances.

Wow! Im surprised nobody made a thread when Russian nazis killed nine yr old girl. This sort of stuff is going to happen because the Israelis are surrounded by enemies not imaginary ones like the Russians. Oh and the reason why Israelis are holding onto the Goland hieghts is because of water and nothing else.

Name one place that's been under a military occupation for almost half a century now, which still continues till this day. It is really tragic that IDF has so many cold blooded murderers in it. Nothing to be outraged about though right? |
