Summer Set

Hey guys

Ive always wanted to mix a trance set with a tracklist of "summer" tunes, of around 128-134BPM, and ive decided to get started with it from now. Ive got a lot of tunes and remixes in mind that can be included in the set, but I was just wondering if any of you have some extra sujestions that I might not have thought of........im looking for the perfect tracklist!!!

Peace.....

For summer i'm thinking...

Filo & Peri Present Whirlpool - Under the Sun (Solar Stone remix)
Perasma - Swing to Harmony

Just two random summery tracks, good luck with the mix.

southern sun - solarstone remix
salt tank - eugina (michael woods rmx)
mekka - diamondback
vibrasphere - sweet september

some may need slowing slightly but they're all gorgeous

Sarah McLaughlin - World On Fire (Junkie XL).....

Any songs from the first half of the Above & Beyond EM from 06-06-2004 are perfect for summer.

Also, I like Zocalo as a summer song

I've always wanted to do a winter set, with lots of winter tracks...with BPM between 123.76 and 128.96...please can you help me with my tracklist, because I'm such a useless DJ that I can't fuckin' select the tracks on my own...kthxbye

just play Cascada - Everytime We Touch and Groove Coverage - 7 years and 50 days

Jose Amnesia - The Eternal
Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin Van Buuren Mix)
Selu Vibra - Divine
Modulation - Spirits (Cosmicman Remix)
Chicane - Saltwater
Estuera - Tales From the South (Revision Flow)

All of these remind me of summer. However, they may not entirely fit your BPM range. Just food for thought.

Add: Rapid Eye - Circa Forever (sounds a bit like The Eternal, but still a good tune.)

The whole album is supposed to be a "Winter-album" according to Rickard Berglf and Robert Elster. They said this during a interview on P3 Dans on Swedish national radio back in June last year.

So, I don't really know if "Sweet September" fits into the category of summer-trance stuff.

Chicane though reminds me very much of the summer/late summer.

I find a huge warmness in the tune, plus september is often a gorgeous month in the uk, with warm temps & nice air and that kinda fits perfectly, for me personally

Asking for peoples view and ideas does'nt mean you are a useless Dj, it means you want to become a better one, so next time keep your thoughts to yourself you prick. Its people like you that piss me off on different forums, so next time I see a "post more" message, i'll just think of aragant cocks like you Booster.....low life ****!

Anything DJ Shah related is summery.

Posted by nefardec on Jan-24-2007 00:35:

sweet september is definitely not a summer track. how about julien jabre - swimming places (jerome sydenham remix) for a summer track.

Well, for the last couple of years it's been scorching in June and July then bloody miserable in August. But September is always the best month for the weather in the UK.

Oh, and Tiesto - Suburban Train (Way Out West Remix)
