Hi, this remix isn't finished yet. I'll have to make a nicer break but I have been working on it all day so I need some comments and tips

it your work official, its a contest, or make you it out a another reason.. i find the remixes on the 12" very bad, not the original...

This tune has no vocals. It may have a vocal version but it has no VOCALS!

o.. the original has not vocals...? than ist was a another original with vocals
but this mix is nice... i like the slow tempo with piano and rain fx

no the plastic boy original mixs are:

original vocal mix
original instrumental mix

there wasnt a vocal added for a remix that is the original.

The vocals were slapped on top of the original mix. And they are awful.

Hence, to me there is no such thing as vocal mix.

The first original mix never had vocals though,it came much later - and i dont want to hear a vocal version,it would spoil it - i even heard M.I.K.E. was against the vocals in the end..

the vocals were a poor addition although i wonder if mike was against them in the end. would be interesting to no whose decision it was to release the vocal version.

the vocal was slapped on to the re releases from labels after the bonzai version if im not mistaken. i recon the vocal adds a great addition to a superb piece of music. the vocal gets too much slating imo

ok, but jet back to this beautyfull remix.. its fantastic dark atmo

Just like any vocal that's added to the track afterwards, it does not fit at all. A track should be built upon the vocals, not the other way around.

And I believe M.I.K.E. did agree to release the vocal version, contrary to Strange World which did not receive his permission.

Ok, here we go.

I like your version up until the 2 minute mark. Then you insert the original melody, but it just isn't suitable for piano. The subtle melodies and chords you have in the beginning of the track work much better. So either change the piano in the second part of the track or remove it altogether and come up with a new idea.

As a whole though, I can see this turning out to be a very nice remix.

Thanks for your opinion. I do agree about the mainmelody. It feels to slow and the track loses it's flow when the melody is introduced. I will probably try to make the melody a little more "sweepy"....

to some extent i can see where TOR is coming from, it'll be interesting to see what you can do with the main melody.

really enjoying this remix. eagerly awaiting future updates (and the final version).
