Why do my mixes always sound like ass? (sample inside)

I've been at it for about 3 months now and I could hardly see any progress. WTF am I doing wrong? Would it help if I switched to CDJ200s? (I currently use DNS100s)

probably because you've only been doing it for 3 months.

you should put this in the dj booth sir because it doesn't seem like it's going to do very well as promotion for you.

Just had a quick listen through.....you certainly do seem to have a basic understanding of the art, so I wouldn't give up if I were you. Just keep practicing, find say 8-10 songs that you like, and practice mixing them over and over and over again. Knowing your songs will allow you to concentrate on learning the basics. Even easier, grab two records, and mix between the two until you have the mix perfect. I spent an hour doing this while I was learning and learned so much from it. Good luck!

I did a similar thread quite a while ago and threw it into the "DJ Boot" section and people told me to put it here. I could care less about promotion. It's going to take a LONG time for me to make worthy sets

Just do what alefort wrote: practise and practise and practise more and in the end at least use stereo It's no matter of hardware in the beginning.

To be honest your mixing isn't that bad as mentioned before you have got the basic understanding of mixing. You just need to concentrate on your beatmatching. There is no quick fix to this just practice and patience. When i first got decks i spent 3-4 hours a day practicing.

Something that i did notice in your mix was that some of your mixes the beats were in time but not in sync so prior to going into the mix check in your headphones (provided your mixer is capable) that the beats are sync.
