something like "hot box cafe"???

a friend of mine was talking to me about there being some sort of a cafe or something along those lines in toronto that sells cookies and cakes and stuff with a secret ingredient...lets just say, it reminds me of my trip to amsterdam. lol

now at first, i couldnt believe there being a cafe that sells anything with weed in it but i started to think about it and for some reason, the more i thought about it, the more i actually started to doubt myself. for some reason, i even seem to recall some sort of a thread on here but i couldnt find anything with the search option.

does anyone have any idea what this place is that im talking about?
(and im not talking about the hot box cafe)

thanks in advance

there is one place on queen street in the beaches and there is another place in kensington market. i forgot the name of both places.

I suspect most people familiar with these places will forget the exact name

Roacharama is located in Kensington Market and in the back there is a nice little organic cafe called the Hot Box Cafe. They have a cool patio for the summer. I frequent it when I am down in Toronto, and have run into Woody Harrelson there before and had a random afternoon smoke with him.

From what I remember though they do sell treats and stuff, but not with any secret ingredient. You can smoke out on the patio but I mean its at your own risk. They make some killer smoothies there.

Hope that helps.

Any other recommendations?

Cuz I'm seriously gonna check this place out when I'm back in town.

hotbox is in kensington market. Good little hippie place selling the gear and tables in the back. Last time I was in there I was buying blunt papers and the dude running the place forgot I paid 3 times, then tried to give me my change twice. Haha, the air is full of 'incense'. Didn't take the second round of change tho, you've gotta respect the cool places like that. Anyway, they don't sell magical food, but you can take hits off the vaporizers with purchase of beverage.

you have to be retarded to have a massive grow op at a weed cafe.... or maybe its like reverse psychology, the police think that no one would be stupid enough to do something so obvious so they would never suspect it

either way, these people werent thinking too hard

on my list of places to go the next time in Toronto

allright...so i took bossi's advice and went to this place tonight.

very very pleasantly surprised. ive been to hotbox cafe and hotbox looks like a garbage dump in comparison.

they have a little "second cup"ish type thing going on downstairs where you order the food and upstairs, they have 3 rooms that you can rent out for only 10 bucks an hour, each having a tv, x box/ps2, dvd players, chess boards, volcanos, and anything you could possibly entertain yourself with. you can only have the "special shakes" upstairs. lol

and above all this, on a 3rd floor, they have a smoking patio.

to me at least, this place was way cleaner than any coffee shop i went to in amsterdam.

my girlfriend had such a good time that she told me to thank bossi for recommending the place/milkshakes (dont underedstimate these shakes, she was mangled by them. giddy the entire time). lol thanks dude.

anywho......in a nutshell....definately recommended. you wont be disappointed.

end of review.

They were passing themselves off as some sort of religious organization and were getting away with it all for a while ...... but the beaches business association just snaps its fingers on anything.

Where is this exactly? That street sounds familiar. Main intersection?

Is this for real? Do they actually sell it or is it just a cafe where you bring your own stuff and can just chill there? They had a place called "Amsterdam Cafe" in Vancouver where they sold food, coffee, pipes, bongs, etc. but you had to bring your own.
