Your wish is my command...

Just saw on the news that the plaza of nations is being demolished (except for Edgewater Casino). No more plush to deal with!! So excited to see where AvB is in April!

Thoughts?

I think it might be just the roof?

and then in the future they might replace the whole thing, the story says near the end

performed there a couple of time thought the place was kinda cool but then again Im from Winnipeg

One could only hope they would tear it down

Its only the roof tho

Saw the news report last night. Everything but the Casino and underground parking will be demolished by June (including that crappy radio station there which has to leave in two months ). Not surprised, since there was talk about knocking everything down and putting up a hotel complex there seven years ago!

you guys cant be seriously happy about this
i mean, yes, plush has turned into something less pleasing, but it's still one of the two biggest clubs in the city. cyber is the only place with two regular trance nights.

with plush gone, i dont think armin would be able to play at commodore (for reasons that probably shouldnt be said and have been repeated many times), which means that big DJs that draw large crowds wouldnt be able to play in vancouver. even with PNE, i dont know how manageable that would be, plus sound there is just atrocious

with cyber gone, so will be the only place where trance was accepted by the promoter despite low attendance

im just playing a devil's advocate here, but i honestly don't know if its such a great thing that plush and cyber will be gone by june, for trance anyways

Posted by eye_03 on Jan-28-2007 02:12:

yeah loosing Cyber will be quite a downer but im sure there are other places that can host armin...right?

Ferry has played at Richards and then (686) im sure armin can play in a smaller venue and it will just be really packed and not many people will be able to go.

its a pity if we lose plush and cyber...lots of memories there tho...especially plush...

I read that article in a local paper the other day. Hmm...I personally have mixed feelings, seeing as how I'm a greenhorn to this scene...

I suppose things will all work out in the end, yea? =)
