Nice production, I've listened to it a few times already. Love that simple off beat bassline, powerful instrument. Synth patches are also worthy of praise. However, I think there could be more going on with respect to percussion. Ride cymbals maybe, shakers or something with a naturally high res frequency. On the whole quality tune.

A great, driving tune! Really nice atmosphere in the break and I like the melody. Yeah, you have to finish this!

Takere!

thanks for the replies guys.

i was thinking about adding a vocal but the vocalists i have keep fucking about so im a bit lost on that.

i still have to eq the percs to make them stand out more so the full version should have more percs.

thanks again!

Really nice breakdown ..... i love all that sounds you got there... really nice.... you could fill out more of the stuff when the kick comes back in... i d love some good set of hats there.... it will give it more drive.... good luck mate....

Listening.

Something is wrong with ur Open Hat loop or something here. you should keep the double hats more symmetric and on every 4th or 8th bar i think.

Bass is nice, a little heavy, but sounds ok.

Break.

Nice bass pad. the bended strings sounds nic, reminds me of Kay Cee - Millenium Strings.

2:54: There is the open hat thingy again. i think it should be arranged differently.

Overall, this sounds nice. Just do something about that hat thingy.

hey dj_kane first thing i noticed is that the hats are out of place and they sound harsh. this drowns the other synths in the hi band. also the same problem again at 2:54. the mix dosent sound great, but your sounds are nice. its just that they dont come alive in the mix. i like the buildup. after that it could have been more heavier with the synths. i feel the mid bad needs to be lowered a bit and the hi band boosted likewise.

Hey Barry

First thing I notice is that the bass is taking a lot of the room away from the kick, the kick is more like a tap now, so I'd say you should increase the kick in volume.
Nice melody here at the breakdown, though the pads sound a little vanguardy...plus those hi-hats are mental!
Sounds nice when it all kicks in, again the bass takes over a little too much...but the melody is good.
Also it sounds like you've been influenced by sean tyas a bit!
Anyway keep it up Barry, you're getting better.

Think it sounded pretty allright but it's nothing huge

thanks for the feedback. i lowered the volume of kick before i uploaded that sample. should have left it. the open hat is a bit loud so ive changed that also.

the pads are actually atmosphere and v station

thanks!

Hey mr Kane,

This easily is your best track. You are becoming better and better in the structure of a track and the melodies as well. You reach the break nicely, there is a lot of drive in the track. The bass is indeed a tad too loud compared to the kick. A suggestion is to sidechain the volume of the bass to the kick so that it pulsates a bit better.

Like Rick says it sounds like you are inspired by Sean Tyas, that is not a bad thing since Sean rules haha.

Anyways like this track, you are getting good. Just focus more on Eq'ing since there are too many mids and highs in this track and work on your percs.

Cheers!
