Meet Al-Mahdi (the antichrist?)

I stumbled upon this book written by Joel Richardson that does an exhaustive comparison of the Christian beliefs about the antichrist and Muslims belief of their messiah called Al-Mahdi. The similarities are very close and the book offers a strong case that Islam is potentially the one world religion spoken of in Daniel & Revelations. I highly recommend that you read this book if you are at all interested in this type of subject matter (or even if you are not). You can read it for free online if you don't want to buy it at

Many of you may have noticed that Al-Mahdi is whom Irans president Ahmadinejad has been speaking of lately. His belief is that he must bring about worldwide destruction & chaos in order to cause the Al-Mahdi (the hidden Imman) to return out of hiding and take his place as the head of the Islamic Caliphate (Islamic papacy previously abolished in 1924).

"Antichrist Islam's Awaited Messiah: A fascinating study and comparison of the end-time beliefs of the Worlds two largest religions. Through this groundbreaking examination of both Islamic and biblical prophecy, a frightening picture of a very possible future emerges. Discover the startling similarities between the biblical Antichrist and Islams Messiah figure known as Imam al-Mahdi. A must read for anyone who wishes to better understand Islam, Bible prophecy or the spiritual factors and the underlying forces driving the present early stages of a final clash of ideologies and civilizations."

Hey there Troll, everyone knows that the Roman Catholc Church is the AntiChrist! Revelation 17:9. Describing the evil end times system symbolized by a woman riding a beast, Revelation 17:9 declares, This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. In ancient times, the city of Rome was known as the city on seven hills because there are seven prominent hills that surround the city. So, whatever this verse is referring to, we can know that it is somehow connected with Rome. So, if the evil end times system is somehow connected to Rome it does not take much thought to see a potential connection with the Roman Catholic Church, which is centered in Rome. Numerous passages in the Bible describe an antichrist who will lead the anti-Christ movement in the end times (Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 13:5-8). So, if the end times evil world system is centered in Rome, and led by an individual the pope is a likely candidate. Not some rantings of a mad man in Iran.

Where is your god now??? He is taking a break from all of you wackos ; Christian and Muslim that use his name to spread hate and death. Go back and really read your book. Islam was not even around when Jesus and his followers were writting the book. Rome was.

and who is the woman riding the beast?? Why its the Virgin Mary that the catholics have made into some sort of go between, let me ask you something Christian?? Why is there depicted pictures/sculptures showing a Mother Holding a man child in her arms that were made before Moses even walked the earth??

Isis and Rah

Mary and lil Baby Jesus..
Jesus did walk the earth, he was one of the greatest teachers and peace makers ever. If you choose to bash another religion's beliefs christian, then please be prepared. The only place that the bible even talks of any possible confrontation with Islam, is when God tells Abraham that Ishmial will father a great nation that will populate the earth and have issues with the Jews since Abraham did not want to put his faith into god.

Like I said, where is you god now??

Whether you are a believer in any religion or not, the next great war will be a Clash Of Civilizations between Muslims, Christians, and Atheists. Contrary to what people claim, most western countries are outright atheist just by the doctrine of church and state, which I believe to be a religious doctrine in it's own sense.

The religion of the West is materialism. The West is viewed by traditional muslims as decadent, sinful, and evil. Additionally, Western nations have Christian backgrounds, making the West nothing but infidels in their eyes. They claim moral superiority, while we claim material, and both are right. And with God on your side, you can't be wrong.

The grievances are well beyond our troops being in Saudi Arabia, it has now become a war of ideologies as Mr. Bush has stated before. We cannot negotiate, because their ultimate goal is a global caliphate free of infidels. It is their version of Heaven on Earth. You can compare it to the Christian belief in a heavenly walled city of New Jerusalem as their messianic goal. Fortunately, in the Christian religion, they wait for Jesus to come and bring this kingdom to earth, while I believe the Mahdi has to be initiated in through chaos.

Anyone who knows anything about the bible knows that Revelations was written to a first century church who expected the imminent return of their savior. It refers to things that have long since passed. Although yes it is valid to use 'antichrist' as an archetype with Imperator Nero being the first.

Hmm, i thought Muhammad was Allah's last messenger and profit. Its all in the Koran, 1st pillar the Testimony of Faith (Shahadah), rule numero uno. To believe in some "new" messiah would be sacrilege.

...geez i thought everyone knew that.
