Love Poundin' Sensation Trance til you cry.

Are there any trance tracks that have made you cry?

There have been quite a few for me, but most recently there were a couple tracks I played that really hit me,a dn I realized that true emotion seems to lie in the breakdown!! Let me tell you...

It was my final gig in Sydney, AU, it was also my birthday Rushing around, I turned up to my gig bout 1/2 hour before. Most of the friends I made while living in Sydney had come out to celebrate my birthday and my farewell as I was leaving a couple days later. Knowing it was my final gig in Australia, I really wanted to play some tracks that meant the most to me. As the weekend was already very emotional for me.

Just over half way through my set, I played Nic Chagall - Monday Bar. I almost lost it!! Monday Bar is such an emotional track, and just as the breakdown hit, I really had to fight that lump in my throat! Monday Bar is the perfect example of an emotional rollercoaster, as it has all the elements of bringing you up and down. As the the buildup proceeded, my heart filled and my eyes watered. I smiled with a grimace, put my head down and proceeded to prepare my next mix. I didn't have time to dwell on the feelings that just overwhelmed me. I just thought to myself, WOW, I never expected that at all!!

A couple tracks later and it was time to drop the last track I'd ever play (hopefully not though) in Sydney. Marco V - Any Better Or.
With my emotions already running high, I stood there while it began to play and that I looked out to see all my friends right at the front and arms waving behind them.
As the break hit and the male vocal creeps in, I realized that that moment would never happen again, that it was time to get los tin, adn enjoy. But the moment will now only last in my memory, as it was finally time for me to say goodbye to a part of my life that I wished would never end! How I may never see some of my mates again, and how so many people influenced my life and really helped shape who I am today. There was no fighting the watery eyes this time.

I've stood on dancefloors and heard dj's drop bombs on my heart that rendered me helpless, only to clutch my chest in hopes that my heart didn't jump out... but I've never even come close to breaking down to cry while behind the decks before! It was a very unique experience I had and one that that confirmed that music is truly my life, and my purpose is to help others experience it the way I do/did.

I'm gonna sound like a true trance nerd here, but I don't care....
I've been getting into house a lot lately, but it'll never hold the place in my heart that trance does. Trance will always be above house to me. Sure house can be more fun to dance to, but it'll never be able to compete with the way some trance songs can bring out so many emotions and touch your soul.

House moves my body...trance moves my soul

Cosmic Gate--Should Have Known.......heard it the first night I ever partied, and so it's loaded with emotion.

Don't worry, Lisa. You're still learning. Soon house will take over, and trance will be nothing but an after thought.

No doubt too! I also played that in the same set, lol. But the Wippenberg remix, not quite as emo imo

Without you definitely gets me emotional too. Never cried or anything but behind all the banging beats and the guitar is a very emotional track....

To add to the 'emo' list:

Solar Stone - Speak in sympathy
Moby - Slipping Away
Anna Nalick - Breathe (Blake Jarell mix)
Ridgewalkers - Find
Paul Van Dyk - Another Way....probably because this was the first PVD track I heard....

Graham you can try all you want, but it'll never take me over. No matter how many house parties I go to, or how many sets I listen to...trance will always be No. 1. Maybe I'll start converting YOU!

Cry me a river

I am sad too right now, but I would rather listen a upbeat track!
