Tower Defence

Okay, I don't play games often but Whiskers posted a link to this game on another forum so I started playing it:

First of all, when I upgrade the green bombs they are never as strong as they're supposed to be until they reach the final upgrade. Is that a flaw or is this typical of games?

Secondly, the creator reached level 90. I can not get past level 77. What am I doing wrong?

If this is the dumbest post/thread ever (I wouldn't know because I don't read in this forum), please just ignore me.

Yes, I agree, Clovis, it's boring. I cuss cuss at Whiskers for posting the link. And I think if the guy who created it can get to level 90, I should be able to get to level 90 because I'm of superior intelligence...

I think me and some other nerds were able to hit into the 80s, its tough to do because you have to find the perfect setup.

This one is also fun http://novelconcepts.co.uk/FlashElementTD/ more complicated and frustrating though.

lol, just what I need! This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I created the thread. I wanted to conqueor and be done with the other game not take on a new one.

Okay, great. I'm playing the new one now.

Got to 17 on my second try. Interesting game.

Oh oh oh, this one is fun. I think I made it to level 27. I like it because you can pause (to work or be productive) between the different levels, an option I didn't have in Tower Defence.

lol at me. I totally don't have time to play these games. Aaaaaaaack, it's all Whiskers' fault!

Yes, I'm fake so I'm not really playing this idiotic game, I'm just pretending!

Anyway, I got to level 34 but I don't see any way to get past 34 because 34 is like a zillion enemies...

But I can stop playing this game because there's nothing that says the creator got higher.

And at least I haven't gone back to the Tower Defense game since I started this new one.

So, I'm happy.

Level 39 here.

The maximum is 39. Not bad!

Crap, I was cruising along until I somehow lost one of my 9000 damage green towers and then couldn't kill them in time. Ended up on 67.

The other WC3 game is considerably harder.

Yes, sometimes when I place a bomb on the Tower Defense, another bomb disappears. It must be a flaw. I actually felt like contacting the guy who made the game because it has a contact link.

Did you notice that the green bombs are not what they should be until you've upgraded as high as you can get?

That would be considered a flaw also or is that typical to games?

How did you get to level 39, sunsnail?

I can't get past 34.

34 is the one where there are like 9 zillion little monsters...

The key is interest. Use cannons mostly. Put all the wood into interest. I was left with some 50,000 gold at the end of the game. You can buy a lot of extra lives that way

So each time, you just buy more interest? You don't buy the fire/water/earth to get to the biggest bombs?

Aack, that sounds so suicidal!

I got to level 39 once but died during level 39.

I think I was the most successful when at level 7 I bought fire, level 14 I bought higher interest, level 21 I bought higher interest, level 28 I bought water and level 35 I bought earth so I could get the biggest bombs.

Okay, I'm going to try this with just buying interest. Do you buy any of the red bombs? Or just cannons and those air thingies?

Can't believe I'm playing this.

I must be doing something wrong because I can only get to level 27. Do you guys upgrade your towers? I have trouble with the fast guys and the flying guys. Towards the end, I can't generate enough DPS. I put all my wood in interest but I rarely have enough money left over to take advantage of it.

lol, we're talking about two different games here. Tower Defense and Flash Element TD.

This is kind of what I do:

Round one, I buy one cannon and immediately upgrade (+15 gold).

Round two, I upgrade the same cannon (+26).

I don't buy those red towers.

I don't buy the blue ones (sunsnail must though if he only improves interest with the wood).

After level 7, I buy with my first wood, fire and throw a fire tower in the middle and upgrade it (plus 75 gold) immediately so it can shoot the flying monsters.

I guess what I learn is don't buy more bombs than I need and don't upgrade unless I have to.

Seriously. I got to lvl 39 and it just gets way too ridiculous at that point.

If you can make it to level 39 you probably have enough infrastructure to complete the game.

After all the baddies have passed the top left part of the map, sell your towers there and buy 29+ lives or whatever with the money and your remaining towers should get them during the second time around.

Don't even have to sell towers.

Just make sure you don't spend as much as possible to save up to buy rocket towers for lvl 33 and up when it gets really hard.

Yep, you beat the game with nothing but cannons (and air for the air rounds). At level 39 the guys passed through 3 times I believe before I killed them all. No, cannons are all you need.

For round 1: Buy one cannon. It will kill the sheep.
Round 2: Upgrade the cannon
3: buy a new cannon
4: upgrade the cannon
5: buy a new cannon

etc. Don't ever buy more than you need.

End score: 12404
Lives lost: 0

I win!
