above & beyond essential mix 06.06.2004 question
anyone knows what's the track playing right after pete tong says goodbye?
it's somethin with really nice strings and a male voice saying "why should i be frighten of dyin', it's no reason for it, you got to go sometime" or somethin like this.
thanks!
wrooooooong place
Isn't that a line from one of the Pink Floyd tracks on Dark Side of the Moon?
you mean the last track in the set?
if i remember rightly that was tranquility base - surrender, with a load of especially recorded spoken samples on top
you can find the tracklist in here anyway: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/essenti...klistings.shtml
no it's not the last track in the mix....it's the one after that, not part of the mix.
pete says something at the end but i can't understand the name: "meanwhile here's [...] for a bit of a carry on"

I know in that set they used an acappella of their own that was never released. It was them going around the office asking people what they thought was the troubles in the world. It's used at the start (mashed up with Ghosts) and at the very end with Surrender.
Anyway, the The track your looking for is Thomas Newman - Ghosts which was on the Road to Perdition soundtrack. Nice track.
