The only people who don't think CEO salaries are absurd and horrendous are CEOs. It's a joke, but nobody's laughing, rich or not. In fact, most wealthy people hate this kind of stuff even more, because those ridiculous salaries directly affect the huge sums of money that more affluent people have tied up in investments.

It doesn't have anything to do with malice or favoritism. Bush just doesn't understand economics...at all. You're giving him far too much credit.
