connecting emotionally with a song

have you ever really connected emotionally to a song?

in the past few weeks i've felt a bit depressed, listening to this song i really connected with it. i close my eyes and just drift away. have you ever really connected to a track where it just lifts you up outta your chair and takes you away?

everything ends and this song begins.
Boards of Canada - Over the Horizon Radar

I think everybody has at one point or another. Mine, a few years back, was Allure - The Loves We Lost for various reasons.

I certainly have over the years, but too many to properly remember. Many tunes from Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, and some more uplifting stuff than I just mentioned

When I was backpacking, me and my friends had a fairly limited supply of music to play. We tended to listen to certain CDs before going clubbing or whatever, and those tracks/CDs will still get me hyped now, despite the fact that it could be the middle of the day here, and I ain't going nowhere

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Love And Only Love

...um, yeah. Neil Young tends to do the trick for me.

Although the quality is bad the tune is amazing. Beautifull music and existential lyrics.

I think it was featured in various Tiesto's compilations, even back from 2004 (or 2005) but it was originally released last year. He is maybe confused with another Allure track such us "When She Left", or "No More Tears". Is tiesto the only person under the Allure alias? If thats the case, then he used to produce some very good music!
