Second. Thermal. Hot or even warm = white. The 'fart' was dark. I've never had a cold fart. It comes from the bowels of your ass/body (figuratively and literally). Should be warm now shouldn't it?

I think that was an episode of SNL with Hugh Laurie hosting. They were doing one of those ghost hunting shows and they caught his fart on the thermal camera.
