Macintosh OSX ???
Hey everyone,
I really need some help here.I'm going to get a laptop soon and i was thinking of maybe changing to mac for the production?? So i need you guys to gice me some instructions here..
All I know about macs and the benefits of the OSX is Logic!!
As u can see that im a N00b at macs pelase guys tell me what exactly are the mega benefits or difference from windows to mac an if i should by an HP laptop or a Macbook pro with the same configurations for both

Wut no one uses a MAC??
I made the switch about 2 years ago. I'll never go back. Sure logic is cool and its still one of very few production programs that is proprietary to the mac platform. I'm going to break down some quick pros to mac laptop over a pc.
1. more stable OS. I dont care what you say, OSX simply fucks up less. Sure, you can crash OS X. I've done it once or twice, but in the 2 years that I've had my powerbook, I've never had to reinstall my OS. I used to have to reinstall windows approx 2-3 times a year on PCs.
2. Superior build quality. With their plastic cases, the macbooks are probably just as sturdy as your average PC laptop. However, they are more intuitively designed. Little features like more compact power adapters and the new mag-safe cord is pretty sweet if you've ever pulled a laptop to the ground (done it). Now the pro series macs are FAR SUPERIOR in terms of durability and technology. all aluminum cases, ambient light sensors, motion sensors, etc...
3. Security. No viruses, spyware, phishing, or any of that shit = more processor overhead and available system resources for what you really want to use them for.
4. Intel. dont like OS X? put windows on that shit! simple.
Im passionate about my mac. Its been the best computer I've ever owned (and ive had quite a few). I honestly can not see myself ever going back. If you are gonna do it, I'd recommend holding out for a little while. version 10.5 is right around the corner. I bought mine just before 10.4 came out and was a little pissed when i had to buy the new one.

but wut about the production featers as u said is LOGIC and the operating system everything or are there some kind of programs or maybe tricks or I don't know wut else 
If you want to use Logic then get a Mac. Other than that I wouldn't, but maybe you would it is really subjective. The only time I really reccomend getting a Mac is if someone wants to run software that is Mac only.
When I bought my laptop I had a lot of people telling me I needed to get a Mac and I was really close to buying one, but before I did I downloaded OSX and tried it out on my computer for awhile. It is nice and everything but I didn't see what the big deal was. I know some people who try it really love it and go out and buy Macs. It just depends on what you like.

So ban me. People in here are always saying to download this or that sequencer or VST. So ban us all. And no shame here. People downloading and trying out OSX has led to many people purchasing Apple hardware. I'm also thinking that maybe it isn't illegal to use a program that someone refuses to sell to you. If Apple put OSX out on the market a lot of people would buy it instead of taking it. And besides I'm assuming the people who download and install it are in fact Apple developers and therefore they are allowed to use the software. If you aren't a developer don't install the software.
you should buy a mac, osx, logic and karma (because BT uses it). windows, cubase, fl, reason and live are for noobs and they will never make you a famous supertrance dj slash producer.
So u mean guys its mainly LOGIC !!! well i think Cubase 4 can do the work or?
Not mainly Logic, the main point is that a lot of people prefer the operating system to Windows.
