What exactly is sociology?
Say on 9/11/2001 (AKA 9/11), the terrorists were not JUST terrorists, but they were homosexuals, would there be a lockdown on Terrorists AND homosexuals?
And on a serious note, i say this cus like, before 9/11, there was a lot of just association with arabs and terrorism and then it just cummed on everyone face on that day and now we are dealing with racial profiling and SSS and shit like that. But, since a lot of people in America seem to hate homosexuals (including the President and Fox News), had the 9/11 events been committed by homosexual terrorists, would the government (and it's media outlets) tell people its neccessary to keep a watchful eye on homosexuals, and then we are all like, "yes mr. president. anything you say mr president. we will commit a 20,000 unit surge in San Fransisco)????
btw, what is sociology?
That is a very oddly worded post.

Psychology is the study of the human mind in relation to society and the larger human world.
Sociology is the study of human groups, movements or associations within the larger human context. In which psychology can be a part - yet observing the associations of the group members and their actions as a whole, complex unit. (ex: mob mentality, but less simple)
(i just came up with those, so they might not be perfect)
The issue with your question was the terrorists *weren't* just terrorists. You make it sound as if they were robots, or that a different species of human commit terrorist acts. The terrorists were likely brothers, students, businessmen, wealthy, poor - all or some of these things. They were possibly homosexual as well. If terrorists were simply terrorists we would have no problem finding them and locking them up.
The Bush team certainly meant to put fear in the heart of America by referring to the terrorists as 'others' yet they likely oversimplified that meaning. If we were meant to fear the gays, gay-terrorists, or gay-terrorists under 40, it becomes too complex to strike fear. Even the average American, bigoted or not knows a gay person. Many, many Americans never interact with an Arab...
...so which would be scarier?
If you want to talk sociology, try to think of societal change in an overarching view. The fall of the Communist block, tribalism in Africa post-Colonialism, or oil wealth fueling the spread of fundamentalist Islam through Central Asia. Postulating on one minor detail on one day isn't sociology, its just shooting the shit|
