DJ's mixing different styles together...

I was wondering if there are any famous dj's out there that mix different genres together in their sets?

Quite a few breaks DJs also spin deep house in their sets. Plump DJs, Lee Coombs etc.

It works nicely

Laurent Garnier plays everything except trance.

The best DJs always do.

Tech House > Progressive House > House > Breaks

That's the direction I usually take.

doing trance then mixing in a breakbeat song can sound pretty tight and switches the flavor up

pretty sweet =]

its definetly something i admire in a dj if he can pull it off. to be able to a number of genres together and make it flow, that takes true skill

Every DJ thinking he/she's 'good' SHOULD be able to do so.

its not that hard (imo), if you start off at around 125 BPM house, take a 2 hr set, and slowly speed up to 140 BPM (trance/techno). its quite easy to do i think. i do it quite often on my bedroom, though im still a bedroom dj. of course, mixing them through each other is much more difficult. but a built-up i just mentioned (house & garage house => deep house => progressive house = progressive trance => trance => techno) is quite simple to do in 2 hrs time.
