Intentional blankness

From wikipedia: "According to its proponents, Dada was not art it was "anti-art". Dada sought to fight art with art. For everything that art stood for, Dada was to represent the opposite. Where art was concerned with aesthetics, Dada ignored aesthetics. If art were to have at least an implicit or latent message, Dada strove to have no meaning interpretation of Dada is dependent entirely on the viewer. If art is to appeal to sensibilities, Dada is to offend. It is ironic that Dada became an influential movement in modern art, a commentary on order and the carnage Dadaists believed it wreaked. Through this rejection of traditional culture and aesthetics they hoped to destroy traditional culture and aesthetics."

Considering this, this: Needin' U. Discuss. Paix.

later: exceeder + princess superstar 'perfect' = the grinding sound your pelvis makes when you're all sweaty, on drugs, and just want to dance, man. [blogo ]

I totally feel what you are saying about Dada and what it is and is not... Yay postmodernism

HOWEVER....

I absolutely cannnot stannnnnnnd the princess superstar mashup of exceeder. In fact, I'd say that it is anti-art. That's based on the fact that ministry of sound owns the rights on both of those songs and decided to mash them together for pure moneymaking reasons. I know for a fact Mason had nothing to do with it. The video is even worse..

it's disgusting.

MoS is awful, they've proved once again that everything they do is absolute garbage that should be ignored.

Well not everything I spose, but I'd say a healthy 85% of everything related to MoS is nonsense.

Albeit I'd take a MoS night over any fuckin MC Mario night here.

So because it's commercial it's automatically good or shouldn't be discussed? Essentially it's mocking an art form for profit.

I get particularly personal about exceeder because I've heard versions of it from before it was even mastered and to watch it explode and then see this *in my opinion* bullshit mashup just annoys me.

And I don't mind Princess Superstar when she's djing with her friend or wtvr, they played a really good show @ Summercase, Madrid last summer.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cheese here and there, but I have my limits...

When I listen to Perfect Exceeder however, I get reeeeal lactose intolerant.

I don't see anything wrong with that, other than when she tries to smush her boobs together and look like Kelis in "Milkshake" but it's obvious she still hasn't hit puberty yet.
