Gabriel & Dresden Friday Night Reviews!

What an incredible night on Friday! What a SHOW!! Here's everything from my p.o.v.

My boy Javier and I didn't show up till' around 10:15, around that. Good thing Henieken's were $5.25 for two...which is what Javi and I stocked up on before the show. The opening dj's were sick. The Night Architekts were amazing and definitly didnt expect them throwing down like they did. I finally texted Nicole and told me she was upstairs at the VIP area. Kinda lost track of Javi there for a sec (alcohol started to kick in...on the 6th beer). The guy at the stairs to the VIP room didn't wanna let me in. He basically said "You take care of me, I'll take care of you". So phuck it, the guy wanted $20 for Javi and I to go upstairs. Got ripped off, but I gave it anyways. Upstairs, and I finally get to meet Nicole and Joe (two of the coolest people ever!). Gabriel & Dresden show up on stage, and start to wreck it hard. They played some sick ass tracks (which I have yet to find out their ID's) and the crowd was unbelievable. Javier was surprised to see that many people too. We'd both been there once before for a reggaeton party and that club looked totally different on Friday night. I dont know if they moved things around or added stuff to the club, or if it's basically the amount of people that showed up that night, but ut was definitly the best trance gig I've been to since AVB in '05.

Dirk gets to the VIP room and out comes the Goose. Already having 8 beers in me, I decided I'd take Dirk up on the offer and go for a little tonic/vodka. Here's the funny part about Friday night. Dirk, Melissa and I are conversating and just chillin' by the table where all the drinks and bottles were. I finished my first glass of tonic/vodka, and then the night goes blank after that. The Vodka hit me like a train in the face! I remember only bits and pieces of what happened after that. I knwo I kept trying to talk to Dirk afterwards, but even Dirk can tell you what I probably sounded like:

"D-D-D-D...Dirk...y-y-y-you are c-c-c.....Dirk y-y-your are the m-m-m-man!"

The slurring couldn't have been more entertaining than that. I finally went outside (Javi had to work at 8am and was kinda pissed at me since the plan was to leave around 1:30am....it was already 2:45am according to him). I stumbled horribly all around the parking lot, stopped to barf on the side of a car, and finally found Javi sleeping in the car. I woke up Saturday morning, my boxers were soaking wet. Now, how the hell that happened I have no effin clue. That's the first time since the age of 6 that I do that. My dad (a retired alcoholic) says that I probably overloaded on Vodka. Said that I almost killed myself trying to walk upstairs into my room.

Anyways I had a killer time. Nicole was right about G&D, they pretty much killed the crowd on Friday night. I had the time of my life with the TA's in the VIP room. It's one night I won't forget.

yea night arkitects always thro it down. and i was very surprised about the turn out as well.

i noticed cosmic gate - should have known (wippenberg rmx) along with the other big gab n dres trax.

i liked that song alot better before it was released. i hear alot of ppl playing it so im gonna retire that track early in my box.

When I play a room like that, I may actually cry (here comes a lot of comments, but who cares.) The gigs I have had have been fun enough. That will just blow me away the first time, and probably the second and third.
