Ghost Smilie "In the beginning there was Jack, and Jack had a groove..."

In The Beginning...

You all know which one I'm talking about - yes, that classic house track.

However, does anyone know any modern remixes of it with those same vocals? I'm sure there have been many more house, trance, and hardstyle remixes of it...

So let's hear which ones you know!

quote:
In the beginning there was Jack ... and Jack had a groove
And from this groove came the grooves of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box,
Jack boldly declared "Let There Be House" and House music was born.
"I am you see, I am the creator and this is my house
And in my house there is only House Music.
But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house
it then becomes our house and our House Music.
And, you see, no one man owns house
because House Music is a universal language spoken and understood by all.
You see, House is a feeling that no one can understand
really unless you're deep into the vibe of House.
House is an uncontrollable desire to Jack your body.
And as I told you before this is our House and our House Music.
And every House you understand there is a keeper.
And in this house the keeper is Jack.
Now some of you might wonder who is Jack and what is it that Jack does.
Jack is the one who gives you the power to Jack your body!
Jack is the one who gives you the power to do the snake!
Jack is the one who gives you the key to the wiggly worm!
Jack is the one who learns you how to rock your body!
Jack is the one that can bring nations and nations of all Jackers together under one house!
You may be black, you may be white, you may be Jew or Gentile.
It don't make a difference in our house. And this is fresh!"

Well not totally the same, but by far my favorite version (in a way) of it...

Da Hool vs. Gary Buckheimer - In The Beginning

Posted by ThaMaestro on Feb-05-2007 16:08:

ive been after this acapella a long time too. finally someone who makes a topic out of it

ill see if i can find it on discogs.

keep the posts/suggestions coming

Posted by ThaMaestro on Feb-05-2007 17:22:

these releases seem to contain the original acapella (as written down in the quote of the 1st post);
Kikoman / Daniel Thompson - Open Ya Mind => http://www.discogs.com/release/76434
Various - Crescendo No. 8 => http://www.discogs.com/release/174993

my bet is on the 2nd release ('Crescendo').
samples that ive found of the hool vs bruckheimer release didnt contain the original acapella. at least, none of the samples i found on htfr, juno, 4djsonly had the same text in the acapella as quoted above.
in fact, all the acapella's are some sort of acapella's in which the original 'Jack'-acapella is abused and made ridculous.
so, i thionk one isnt after the da hool release. that 1 does not have the original acapella in it ...

ill try to find a sample of one of the other mentioned releases (with discogs URL's)

No I don't sorry. Try Sound De-zign - Happiness (Tall Paul Remix). Old but might have all the original lyrics in it. Can't remember.

swedish house mafia guys use it a bit, ID'ed as

DJ Jack - Jack House (Acappella)

Here is the original baby... Rhythm Controll- My House
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....mMakeTrack=true

Released a year later in '88 as Fingers inc - can you feel it.

Sound De- zign didnt sample the original, and nor did Hool vs Bruckheimer. Very few use the original sample.

How about :

In the beginning, there was Dag, and Dag had an arpeggio.
And from this arpeggio came the arpeggio of all arpeggios.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Dag boldy declared,

"Let there be Trance!" and Trance music was born.

I am, you see,
I am the creator, and this is my Trance!
And, in my Trance there is only Trance music. But, I am not so
selfish because once you enter my Trance it then becomes OUR Trance and
OUR Trance music!" And, you see, no one can own Trance because
Trance music is a universal feeling, experienced and felt by all.

You see, Trance is a feeling that no one can understand really unless
you're deep into Trance. Trance is an uncontrollable
desire to Lose Your Mind. And, as I told you before, this is
our Trance and our Trance music. And in every Trance, you
understand, there is a keeper. And, in this Trance, the keeper
is Dag. Now some of you who might wonder.

Who is Dag, and what is it that Dag does?

Dag is the one who gives you the power to lose your mind!
Dag is the one who gives you the power to BE the snake.
Dag is the one who gives you the key to ecstasy.
Dag is the one who learns you how to hypnotize your mind.
Dag is the one that can bring planets and galaxies of all
Trancers together under one Trance.

You may be black, you may be white; you may be Jew or an Alien.
It don't make difference in our Trance.

And this Was fresh!

Where is dag? and stuff like TRANCE...?
