mp3 cutter?
anyone know of a good program to cut a larger set mp3 into seperate tracks? i know nero can do this, but the process is really annoying, and i tried another program (forget the name) but it put annoying pauses in the tracks...thanks for the info
acid pro
sonic sound foundry
used to be good programs, been a year or two since ive played with them since.
however if your specifically talking about slicing and dicing sets to CD's while accomodating for track split times....no idea
but if u find one, PLZ tell me. lol
+1 on the lame nero splitting method
I don't like all the fancy schmancy stuff. I just use Windows Movie Maker.
ironically it is called mp3 cutter and its free
next time google would be your best friend

i use
hjsplit

Is Roxio's Sound Editor the same as the Nero one that annoys you? It is very time consuming, but I go through the whole set to listen for the transitions and then add a track marker by zooming into the sound waves and catching the right spot. Takes me a whole day to cut up a set, pick my favorite tracks, space them properly on 80 min. CDs, burn them and then repeat them over and over at the gym or in the car (I still use that ancient contraption called a Sony Discman) lol, until I get enough reward points at work to get a free ipod (credit card rewards are for travel).
Yes, it is very time consuming and some may call me a hack, but it leads to days and weeks of endless fun and pure motivation as I'm not patient enough to listen to the whole set just to reach my favorite tracks...
if its a mix/set that is one track and i want it split when its burned on to cd then i just make myself a quick cuesheet and burn with nero.
