downloading music?

is downloading music legal here? i though it wasnt, but i see that you can download songs from a part of this sight for free. what is going on there?

My understanding is that live sets are not subject to the digital copyright act, as they are a promotion for that DJ, and you can't just go to a store and buy that set. If the set were available in the store, then it would be illegal to download it for free.

I could be wrong though, someone correct me

He's talking about these:

Don't tell me you haven't noticed them. Anyway, I'm pretty sure TA got permission from the artists.

Well, "downloading music" was a pretty general statement, so I wasn't sure exactly what he was referring to.

I have noticed the singles section, but I don't really listen to or download singles, I prefer mixed sets. And I'm not a DJ, so I won't be mixing my own
