Lightbulb Core 2 Duo (1.83 Ghz) and Cubase SX 3

i thought maybe I should buy a laptop sometime. it obviously will be a Core 2 Duo CPU (since im on a tight budget i think it will be around 1.83 Ghz) and not less than 1 Gb or RAM, so the question is... will it be enough for production?? and Cubase SX 3 have some kind of special optimisation for Core 2 Duo (dual-processor) CPUs ? Will I be able to flawlessly run Cubase with several VSTi ? (my soundcard is ECHO Audiofire 2)

Depends what VSTi's you're using.

yea if you use like 14 instances of spectrasonics atmosphere in each project you might get some troubles

Well i just got a laptop a few weeks ago with a Core 2 Duo 1.83ghz processor, 1gb ram. It runs everything great when it is not overdone.

Cubase is very tolerant and I have the least trouble with that out of any sequencer. Those specs are fine mate
