Mixing "under the influence"
I think its pretty awesome. Shrooms right now and DXM. Best damn time ive ever had mixing.
Anyone ever try? I find that I mix better with substances, much more enjoyable too.
LOL.. you THINK you mix better... record what you are spinning when stoned/drunk/trippin' and have a listen after...
Generally a drink or two and some of us do tend to mix better, tigher, etc... but trippin' on shrooms? would love to hear it..

I like to drink in moderation when I play.
On a bean - I'm 50/50, it's either brilliance or terror.
When I'm high on herb I tend to have some issues for the first mix or two, then I'm all set.
On psychedelics... I don't spin on psychedelics.
You think you're on point while you're fucked up. But you're probably not. I few drinks are okay. But playing fully torqued is like getting fucked by a hot chick with herpes. It seems like you're having a good time right up to the point where you find the sores.
Personally, I played live once while completely twisted off my head. It was tragic. Tragic enough for reality to slap me senseless. Part of being a good dj is knowing how to emulate that "fucked up feeling" through your music, without being fucked up.

but then realized it was on a 4 bar loop recoridng and i got nothing out of it but a looped noise recoridng. nice.

I've spun in a variety of states.
booze - i like to have a few before hitting the decks, it lowers inhibition and i'm able to relax and (as cheesy as it sounds) let the music flow
a pill - done it only a couple times, i get too excited and flail around too much, mixing is hit or miss
shrooms - only ever done in the privacy of my own home, i had to quit once the turntables started melting off the table, i knew it was my mind playing tricks on me but it's hard to mix when it looks like your decks are melting off the table while they're spinning
chronic - love it, although i tend to focus more on the music and what i'm playing than the crowd but i apparently still rock it solid

Its a crap shoot for me.....it usually sounds good at the time, then when Im sober and listen I hate it.
Spin while receiving head. Its not hard...just hard to concentrate.

and i ate 2 mega shrooms ... ha i will post it up soon the name would be motionless speed ... LOL i am not even goihn to listen to it before i post ill jus what is said about it ... and my my it was an experience .. the crossfader seemed to move from left to right every few moments. really trippy

LOL... I could see this thread as being the "Experimentation" thread where everyone gets blitz on shroomz or acid and tries mixing and we all post our sets up... 
A couple of beers works wonders.
Stopped taking the beans and weed these days, however found that it just distracted me.
The trick when having just a few beers is to know when to slow down. I drank last night - the volume went right up and my ears are ringing today!

I usually spin sober
once I tried spinning live after smoking some weed, and it was nice, had a good time.
I could mix well, but I'm better spinning sober.
spinning on mushrooms is fun..
