Your Personal Chillout Requests

Is there any songs you like that you wouldn't mind hearing a slow paced/chillout/sunset/ambient/whatever version of? That hasnt been done before?

Was just thinking about it before... I thought of a few and imagined how they could turn out..a few that came to my mind.

Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party
Kamaya Painters - Far From Over
Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave
Young Parisians Feat Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train

Doubtful but if any versions do exist hook a brother up!

At the risk of getting flamed... I think Above & Beyond vs. Andy Moor - Air for Life would make an excellent chillout/ambient song. If it hasn't been done.

It's a possibility, I actually get the chillout vibe from the Micro De Govia Edit of Air for life.

Jezus Christ, can you at least do some good research before you make a thread like this? There IS a ChillOut version of 'Endless Wave'. I believe it's done by Macker.

Don't be such an arrogant arse
can't blame him for not knowing a not officially released "remix"

I'm not being an arrogant arse. People make threads like this, every freakin' day, and don't even take the effin' effort to do some research. 'What is your favorite track ever?', 'What ChillOut do you like?', 'What is your favorite producer?'.

Bullocks. Is it that hard to do some research?

A chilled remix exists if I'm right.

If you had been here in the time you were absent, you would have noticed that people make threads like this, every freakin' day, and don't even take the effin' effort to do some research. Actually, I haven't been absent for that long - I've been reading along from time to time, and I know what you mean about this kind of topics, I just thought an outburst like yours wasn't necessary.

Also if you're telling people to do research before they ask that makes sense - but when you then go on and suggest some homemade remix or whatever it is that doesn't make all that much sense, can't expect everyone to know about every non-official reworking done can you?

Now to get back on-topic, if you buy Jump the next train I'm sure the 'Slow train mix' or whatever it is called is on it. There's your "chillout" version

Close. A chilled original version of the tune exists. It's off of Solar Stone's Chilled Out Euphoria mix CD back from 2001 and it's called Z2 - Intracity (Solar Stone Solstice Mix). The chorus is the only piece of the vocals featured in the tune. In my opinion, it's miles better than the danceable rip-off they did of it.

As a side-note, they also did the same to 2nd Element - Underwaterfall (Solar Stone is Z2 and 2nd Element) from the same mix CD with Like a Waterfall. Underwaterfall is a fucking incredible tune, it's such a shame it was bastardized so much when they re-did it.

i had no idea of that. there is a chilled remix of the young parisians track though.. it's called the 'slow train version' & it's basically just the vocals & piano. i was never a fan of the club mixes but i do like that version

and i've tried working on chilled remixes of numerous trance tunes.. namely:

kamaya painters - far from over
st john vs locust - mindcircles
matti kotola - aedena
giuseppe ottaviani - linking people
estuera vs re:locate - palma solane
apollonia - andromeda heights

..but never got round to finishing any of them bar the last one

Thrillseekers - New Life

Robert Nickson - Spiral

Check it out, if you can find it. It sounds nothing like the club/recent version of it.

The point of this thread was to:

a) find out if there were any chillout versions of the tunes i listed
b) ask other people what chillout remixes they'd like to hear of tracks.

Lighten up.
