mgTriggerGate, a rebuild of the Trancegate in Vanguard useable as FX plugin. Quite simple but does the job nicely and also its easy on the CPU. Freeware.

Sonicbytes Gat'R, a more advanced gate, made for some really spacy, trippy Gate Effects that you can hardly do with any other Plugin. Warning: CPU hog. Costs 49.

killerGate, also a rather simple gate but a little more advanced than the mgTriggerGate since it also has filters and distortion and stuff. Worth checking out. Freeware.

CamelSpace, this is the gate I use most often since its more than just a gate. Features filters, panning and some other FX, easy to use, even a good randomizer inside. Good FX unit that makes the sickest sounds possible. Also has a huge preset library. Highly recommended. Costs 76.

This is the stuff I know about.

it is still saying that the format is unrecognizable.

Maybe it's because Logic Pro only accepts Audio Units plug-ins and that plug-in is a VST? Just a thought...
