Need help finding a liberal minded college

Hey.
i'm on the prowl.

I went to Marist College for two years but ended up hating it due to the ridiculously materialistic and high school-esque atmosphere. I guess that's what I get for going to a school filled with kids from long island/staten island who don't know why they're republicans and down their sorrows 5 days a week at the bar.

I need advice on schools with a population of openminded liberal people. I'm probably majoring in humanities, maybe international studies or something asia related. or maybe just straight up philosophy. I'd also really want to be in a city as i don't want to need a car.

My dream is Vassar, but it's soo expensive. and i'll never get in.

Why do you want a liberal college? So you can have the same views as everyone else, and not have them threatened or challenged by someone with views from the opposite side of the political spectrum?

come to montreal and come to concordia, where everyone lives downtown and you can do what you want !

so i am biased, but i recommend my alma mater, Rutgers. it's a big school so there is a lot of diversity of thought. it isn't super cheap, but probably moreso than Marist. it also is strong academically.

UW-Madison. Plus there's a large % of east coast students there so you'd fit right in if you felt the need!

I'd say most universities are pretty "liberal" (whatever that really means...)

all universities are pretty expensive though (unless you stay in state)

University of Colorado Boulder has a reputation of a very liberal school. Boulder is a beautiful town (if you don't mind the cold). Also Berekley is very liberal (way too liberal for me, too many gawddamn hippies )
But really any Uni, as long as it is pretty large, will tend to have alot of "liberal" people.

Just stay away from Notre Dame like the plague.

100% serious. you pay $5 at the door, sometimes they won't even card you. when i was a freshman i'd show my real id bouncer would glance at it and wave me through. you get a wristband, go grab a spot at the bar and proceed to dare yourself to stay on the barstool for the next 3 hours. The thing is they expect everyone got get remotely drunk and make their business after midnight strikes. but for the champs, like myself, you get hammered to the point where ceiling and floor don't have much of a difference. you call a cab... which is usually another $5 and go home. then lie down on the floor of your living room and hold on.
