I don't get it.

TA has a good enough option where you can upload a sample and it stays there for nearly for ever. Anyone can come back after 5 years and still listen to it.

Instead you go for some stupid file server that only host the file for a specified time or until the bandwidht is exceeded. After that your sample is gone and you have one more USELESS thread on TA, wasting everyone's time and space.

Take a 60 second sample at 24Kbs and post the file on TA with your thread.

Dammit, stop wasting everyone's time!!

that's true, Maybe I've been a little harsh. Sorry Compliche...

I try to listen to all the samples on a weekly basis. I'm also a sucker for anything "old" and when I come across dead threads like this one, it just $$&&^es me off.

I know it's difficult to control, but can't they block the links to these file servers? Force the users to submit samples to TA. I guess it's a hassle making a sample and it's easier just uploadig a whole track to a server.

I would think if you really want your track id'ed, then you will take 3 minutes to make a sample and post it on TA (which will stay there forever), rather than take 2 minutes to setup an account and upload the track to some server (which will be gone in a week).
