What program can I use to edit mp3 sets??

basically i am looking for a program to edit long sets and breaking it into cues or tracks.
like if theres a song that im trying to get out of a set for a sample, how do i take out the one song?
i am looking for a good program for this
what do u suggest

soundforge is the standard and most widely used for that. very powerful yet simple to use software.
