I always thought this was a fake, but I guess it's fo'real. I still don't ever plan on buying it.

Mixed, or unmixed? It might be worth picking up if it were the full tracks since they have some good tracks on there. If it's mixed, then hell no.

There isn't a single track on there i don't like, but why on earth did they have to mix it? I hate mixed compilations unless it's some special concept about it, but this is just a collection of g&d remixes.

I, for one, don't necessarily equate legendary status with being good. Whether you think As The Rush Comes is good or not is moot, the track will be remembered and therefore is legendary. The argument comes when someone states that the track itself will be remembered, and not G&D - which is a fair argument to make. The title of the album isn't exactly apt, I'll agree.

Ok ATRC might be in the future considered legendary, about in the same fashion as right now DJ Jean's The Launch is.

It's just funny that an act that started releasing music 5 years ago, and is considered by this board as not very good, is a "legend" already. I don't know whether the idea of labelling them like that came from their own ego or from the labels' eagerness to sell, either way it's funny.

shame it is a mix CD, otherwise i would've gotten it. some good songs on there

I would certainly not call G&D legends but they are imo very interesting artists. They carved out a sound of their own, especially during the period when they produced all those brilliant remixes. They created something original, even if at times quite subtle, it was orignal and recognizable. Lately they've not been as good as they used to be, the album was overall both good and dull but it had it's moments.

Heh. I suppose after that bootleg floated around for so long, they'd want to actually capitalize on it?

There's no info about such a release on their homepage though, so I'm suspecting this is a more elaborate bootleg.

Uberbootleg - and mixed shoddily at that. Gabriel & Dresden have nothing to do with this whatsoever.

At first, I was interested in this. I like G&D's remix work and they're a great live act to see. Then I found out it was not a compilation but a mix of thier remixes. While not enough to turn me completely off to it (I did get Bloom), I realized that it's not even a mix by them or thier own remixes.

If you look in the top left corner of that cd cover, you'll see that it's "mixed and compiled by" someone by the name of DJ Masa. If this a bookleg or not, who knows? But it's not likely that I'll be rushing to get this cd
