So I've just got my Korg K25

I've just received my Korg K25 keyboard controller after my edirol pcrm30 died on me.

At work at the moment so will have to wait till I get home to use it. Just wondering if anybody could suggest to me some practical uses of the clickpoint joystick it features. Other than using it as an alterantive to the mouse (might as well use the mouse) I cant see what I might use this for? I'm an Ableton live5 user btw.

It also comes with the M1 Le soft synth. Is it worth me installing this and taking the time to use it..?

You can assign parameters to the X & Y axis, which means you can control multiple effects with one controller. You can let them interact with eachother, by decreasing the X and increasing the Y (lef-top ), etc etc. It's just a more flexible way to control your virtual knobs.

I bought a Korg K-25 week and half ago.

Its sweet!

You can assign XY joystick to say filter in Ableton. Its very fun to control. And if you click it it will lock there.

Had a blast on it last night. Have played around with the joystick assigning one parameter to y axis and another to x axis. Its alright but I dont find it very practical. The fact it springs back to the middle isnt ideal. Yes you can click to hold a certain position but far more clumsy to use than having two knobs to do the same thing.

Unless I'm missing somenthing?
