Canceled Class Appreciation

Just went to class, only to find a note saying class is canceled, and he left his email for us to send our paper. His email has "Blaze" in it, so now I know he smokes bud.

F it... I'm not searching through just to find it!

i love it, when the professor announces that class will be cancelled before hand, since i have a 30 minute commute to school.

I hate teachers who will NEVER cancel class...not saying teachers should cancel class all the time but once in awhile would be nice.

You just know that they know how excited students get when they go to class expecting to have to sit there for an hour or so but then see a note that its canceled. Thats why they'll never cancel unless its a dire emergency.

see most people like to see the canceled class. But our uni had some douche bag that wasn't happy when his class was canceled. So he made a stink and now if we are ever to miss a class we must assign an alternate activity, and it must get approval by department chair. so they put regulations on profs as to how they can cancel or miss class....

you see at the gym this morning all i watched was the news and they were saying jersey and the city could get 6+" now everyones saying its just gonna rain...did something change that im not aware of?

I don't even know.. When I get discouraged about snow, I just stop paying attention. Weather betrayed me this winter.

Wow...you should tell all your students who that kid is so they can all kick his ass. Who the fuck would really complain about a class being canceled? I'm eager to learn and everything but not THAT eager.

Blizzard = Canceled work = with full pay.

I love blizzards. The UofI is closed and my research complex decided to do the same.

People who have to risk their lives by commuting 1 hour through the snow at 7am only to have to teacher not show up with no notice or anything. I wasn't one of them, but this winch in my class was whining to everyone. Though I did have to find something to do for a little over an hour before my next class as it was too much of a hassle to get back to the dorms then back out again with no car and such a large ass campus. Its snowed 24 hours straight, been -10 degrees out and our admins still won't cancel. WTF.

i quiet dislike when class is canceled. it just means that more work will be cramed into next class, and i had to drive to school for nothing

back in school, when the faculty i worked for wanted to cancel his class, he'd ask me to take it instead.

ONE day of cancelled school is welcomed, but when it's two in a row (like I had last week), it fucking BLOWS. We miss so much in just those two days, and it only compounds more work onto our aleady ridiculous work load.

i'd say the lot of you in here who've spelled cancelled as 'canceled' really do need the extra days in school.

Yeah well I pay far too much money for my education to tolerate that shit. It's bad enough the curriculum has aready been pared down to suit the needs of the whiny ****s who can't handle University level demands. It's fucking bullshit.
