Evil1 The Anti-Valentines Day thread!

Maybe it's because I don't have anyone??..... who am I kidding, that's exactly why

Screw Valentine's Day! Who's with me?

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Feb-13-2007 20:21:

How does it bother you what other people are doing?

Posted by English Rachel on Feb-13-2007 20:32:

I have lots of love in my life, I have bought 12 valentine's cards for people.

I think it is great that people are in love and I am not jealous in any way.

Much.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-13-2007 20:37:

Woohoo! Love for everyone! <3

Happy early Valentine's day!! More love I say!

Posted by Spin Laden on Feb-13-2007 20:41:

lol @ Valentines, Christmas threads...

Valentines Day is a capitalists' dream, much like Christmas, etc. Ppl running feverishly to get flowers, cards, chocolates.. all when there shouldn't be a designated day to do special things for loved ones, except birthdays of course.

lol my thoughts precisely

some people waste too much time and energy bashing this day, but really - no-one is making them celebrate it if they don't want to, especially if they are single

The pure stupidity of the day...it's almost like a made up holiday. Serves no real purpose imo...still.

Love away anyway.

Posted by electro funk on Feb-13-2007 22:16:

just another day to me but all those who celebrate it im sure they love it...all it means to me is getting drunk with a lot of friends and hearing some good music tomorrow

Posted by zoogla on Feb-13-2007 22:19:

My first time in 7 years that I don't have a Valentine.

Not that Valentine's was ever more important for me to show my love than any other day, but the loneliness kinda touches you because of all the media and commercial focus on this day.

Would someone like to be my Valentine tomorrow?

Posted by Cribby on Feb-13-2007 22:27:

Meh. Haven't had a valentine in almost 3 years.

Posted by psiico111 on Feb-13-2007 22:28:

I don't like Valentine's Day, but not because I'm single. I dislike it more when I'm in a relationship. The way I see it is if I love my wife/girlfriend then I should do nice things, buy her gifts and take her out anyway, I shouldn't have to rely on society to tell me when to do it. Really, it's meaningless to get flowers or something on Valentine's. It doesn't mean the person loves you, it only means they are doing what is expected of them on that day because they're supposed to. Now if your mate comes home with something for you on Aug. 21 and it's just a regular day, doesn't that mean much more?

I guess I'm just a romantic at heart and I don't see anything romantic in buying someone a gift because I have to.

Pah on V-Day.

I am going to a shindig in Denver that is women only with champagne, chocolate, male dancers, and sex toys for sale.

Now *that* is how single women do V-Day right!

Who knew that chocolates were so expensive? Fuck...

To bad it's not 2008 (or is it 9?) fu-fu!

Technically I won't have a Valentine either tomorrow...well at least not one that will be in the same city as me

But to be honest, I've never been a fan of Valentine's day. Like was said earlier, it's just a bunch of commercial bull shit. I don't need a special holiday to tell someone I love them, and Feb 14th doesn't make me love that person any more (or less for that matter).

$29.99 at the grocery stores...but that was today..
tomorrow they'll be like $49.99 or something

If you people want decent flowers for a decent price..go to Costco or Sam's Club!

You can 2 dozen roses for $20.00

But yeah..rose's are a ripoff...
