The Official "I Hate Winter" Thread

I hate winter.

A lot.

In fact, I despise it.

If I could, I would move to Australia. Anyone want to join me?

I hate it too, but right now it's pretty awesome.

Why's it so awesome right now? Cancelled classes/work?

I dunno. I like snowfall. It's the only part of winter I actually enjoy. Not the cold, not the snow, not the ice, just snowfall. I love the way it slowly covers everything. Plus see my post in the other thread dealing with our storm.

This is the official 'why do you live in Canada, then?' post.

I'm pretty sure I hate everything about winter. Worst time of the year.

*cry*

And why do I live in Canada? I was born here, grew up here, have all of my family here, my boyfriend is here, my school is here etc. etc.

If I could, I would pick up and leave, but I don't want to go until I am done school, my granny dies (yes I know that sounds morbid, but I don't want to leave while I still have the chance to be with her,) and when my boyfriend is in a position to either come with me, or we aren't together.

Just because I don't like the weather doesn't mean I'm capable of just leaving.

If you like the weather, I envy you... but this is for people who hate being cold, and hate shoveling snow, and hate not being able to feel their nose etc. etc. So please leave us haters in our pessimistic snow/winter - hating bliss. Thanks

+1...except replace Russia w/ Calgary haha

I don't know how I did it..I use to be on a racing team in Calgary and use to ski in the Rockies every single weekend!

I was just outside right now for 5 minutes while I was cleaning the snow off my car, and I still can't feel my fingers...

I'm a little envious of my mother right now who's in Hawaii in the sun right now...

As soon as the summer comes, and it is really humid and nasty, and you can't turn on your AC because the power is out, some of you will probaly say, "I wish it was winter right now!"
To be honest, it hasn't been a bad winter. I am not used to winters in Toronto, but this is definitely nothing compared to up north. And all the snow makes it look really beautiful outside.

whenever its extremely hot i always tell myself that no matter how hot it is it's always better than -15 with wind, feels like -30 with snow up to your knees

Pfft. You just have to know how to dress for the weather, and you'll be fine.
