BAILEY
Metalheadz // BBC 1xtra // Swerve // IntasoundUK

Born and raised in South London DJ Bailey has been exposed to the contemporary underground scene since the age of 11. His passion of beats started with Hip Hop in the early eighties. Baileys South London stomping ground was littered with sound systems, one of which he joined, DJing at house parties and making mix tapes.Becoming bored with the mellow hip hop of the late eighties Bailey discovered something new and harder; Acid House the culture which engulfed him, leading him to the rave scene. It was on this acid house path, in around 91 that he found a turning for hardcore, inspired by the breakbeat element. At the end of this road he entered the door for Drum & Bass.
Bailey was soon gaining steam as a DJ by playing on a local pirate station Energy FM. It was his ability on that very station that impressed Kemistry and Storm, resulting in them inviting Bailey to play at one of the first Metalheadz club nights at the old Blue Note in 1996. Through moving on the circuit Bailey joined forces with other influential South London selectors and MCs, forming the Inta Natty crew which consisted of himself, Grooverider and MC Flux amongst others.
Bailey soon joined the Groove Connection booking agency which is known for managing Fabio, Grooverider, Jumpin Jack Frost, Bryan Gee, Storm and Calibre.
His bookings have brought him to conquer the world of Drum & Bass by playing in South Africa, Japan, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America and the majority of Europe. As for the UK, Bailey has been all over the mainland showcasing his DJ skills at many events, some of which include: One Nation, AWOL, Movement, Creamfields, Valve, Fabric Live, The End, Dreamscape, Slamming Vinyl not forgetting Goldies club Metalheadz and Fabios club Swerve both at which he is a resident.
His gift for precision and his natural intuition for what the people want has lead BBC 1Xtra to secure Bailey as part of their core starting line up, every Sunday night (11pm 1am) and in 2003 he won the award for Best Radio Show at the Knowledge Drum and Bass Awards.
Always having a flare for mix tapes Bailey was the natural choice for many projects including mixed CDs for Knowledge Magazine, Ministry of Sound, Frances Black label with MC GQ and Americas premier Drum & Bass record store Breakbeat Science.
Bailey has also delved into production completing remixes for Roni Size & A Guy Called Gerald gaining the interest of Valve label boss Dillinja and in 2004, set up his underground D&B label Intasound, releasing tracks from cutting edge acts such as Equinox and Miracle.
Bailey is now an established necessity to the Drum & Bass fraternity, he has the capacity to create a sound through sheer mixology to make an impression and stand out from the crowd of Drum & Bass DJs out there.
His skills have gained him the accolade that every DJ aspires to recognition and respect.
TALI
Tali Music // Full Cycle UK/NZ

Tali is an artist with a love for all types of music and a passion for exploring these different sides of herself. She is also the gutsy woman who mced her way into one of Britains hottest, and toughest dance scenes, taking on a male only music genre. Since then she has toured the world several times, released her first album "Lyric on my Lip" (Full Cycle UK-2004), Do it for yourself an independent promo CD, (unsigned-2006) and is currently living in London working on her new project. Originally from a farm in New Zealand, Tali grew up listening to Hip Hop, Soul and Rock music and wrote songs and lyrics from as early as age ten - her goal to take her music to the world. Tali became immersed in the world of Drum and Bass around 1996 where she first heard DJ Krusts remix of 'Maintain' and became instantly hooked on the music. As a natural born performer and lyricist it seemed only natural she became NZs most prolific DnB MC of the time. It was while mcing in Melbourne, Aus, Tali went to a gig of her favourite producer Roni Size and after meeting him at the after show party and busting some impressive lyrics in his ear, Tali was invited to the UK to work with the legendary producer and his crew. Three months later Tali arrived in the UK turning up on Sizes doorstep with several notebooks full of lyrics and a hunger to record. Impressed by her obvious dedication and enthusiasm, Tali became a fully fledged member of the crew and set about touring the globe MCing and finding time to record her acclaimed album "Lyric on my Lip". After 4 years of recording, touring, singing with her live band and MCing, Tali felt as a songwriter first and foremost, she wanted to try something different and decided to go back to her roots of writing over slower, more Hip Hop, Soul and accoustic orientated beats showing her versatility and talent for lyrics. The result has been Tali's latest project, an independent promo mix CD Do it for yourself; Featuring Sincere, Mr Ti2bs, Dynamite MC and Blak Twang, with production from First Man, and of course Roni Size. This slice of urban soul is where Tali's vocal and lyrical talents really shine, with the CD containing the popular acoustic version of 50 Cents '21 Questions' as performed on Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley's 'Live lounge' (BBC), plus a bonus 10 minute DnB mix of Tali classics, as mixed by DJ Bailey (BBC 1XTRA). Since the release of this CD Tali has worked on other projects with UK Hip Hop MCs Blak Twang, Mr Ti2bs and SkinnyMan, and written and recorded guest vocals for DnB producers Bailey, DrumSound and BasslineSmith and US DnB producer Atlantic Soul. When shes not recording vocals, Tali is topline writing for other vocalists, and composing and producing television and commerical soundbeds.
