Oxygen Plusİ - Good for Clubs?

I was at work today, and this company that I had to deal with created the design for a new product called "Oxygen Plus." I looked into this product, and it is basically a portable can of oxygen suplement (over 4 times stronger than normal air we breathe) that you inhale when you need an energy boost. Other than a noticeable energy boost, this product also makes you mentally alert, and helps you to function better. It's apparently good to take when you are drinking a lot, because it reduces your hangover in the morning.

What are the benefits of using supplemental oxygen?
The cells of the human body can only create energy if they have oxygen. And they must create energy to function. Research has shown that breathing increased oxygen content air improves cognitive performance, including memory and reaction time. Most people who have tried O+ report that they feel more alert and energetic after a few breaths of O+. They often use it whenever they want to feel an invigorating boost.

In its ability to provide your body with optimum oxygen levels, O+ may help you:

-Increase energy and vitality
-Alleviate jet lag and fatigue
-Increase mental clarity and alertness
-Diminish exposure to polluted and stale air
-Alleviate hangover symptoms
-Alleviate altitude problems
-Discover a natural alternative to caffeine

I don't know - I have a feeling that this would basically have the exact same effect as Red Bull. What do you guys think? Would you ever try it?

Discuss.

Hahahah Spaceballs was awesome.

And no, I do not work. I just lied and said I do so that I wouldn't look bad. Tee hee!

honestly, it wouldn't make any difference at all ... if you feel anything off of it, it's not b/c of the oxygen ... w/ the amount of O2 in the air, your red blood cells are already like 99.9% saturated w/ it ... yep, so unless you're at altitude, it won't make a difference at all---it's just marketing

i don't agree that it's just marketing because supplementary oxygen is used by people who suffer from hypoxemic chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetic macular edema and such

but I'm not sure it's too useful for just everyday use by a healthy person? that might be the marketing part (just reminded me how the doctor back at home prescribed me this super good cough inhaler, which after close inspection turned out to be for asthma patients only..)

we have an oxygen bar at club phoenix. smells good.. been on it for 30 min before talking to a friend. feel a bit lighter headed or more focussed/clear minded. i dunno about bringing it with you in a can or something... it wouldnt really do anything with a couple drags. so i dont think its really feasible.

Apparently this stuff makes you feel more "alert" after you take between three and five puffs of it.

There used to be oxygen bars all over Toronto about 8 years ago. They're all gone now cuz the fad is over, and had no real benefit and harmful to asthmatics.

Good reading;

Yeah, I went to an oxygen bar in Vancouver. It was okay. But I kinda felt that it was a waste of money (luckily it wasn't my money). If I want to breathe in good oxygen, I will go back home or climb a mountain.

LOL YES! Omg, I don't even know why I typed that. That was really sketchy of me! Obviously the oxygen level declines at a higher altitude.
Wow. Okay. Hahahaha.

OMG I fcuking knew it would only be a matter of time before someone packaged air and sold it.

I have had oxygen many times at an oxygen bar....

I like it but it isn't as much of a buzz as they advertise

I should get some of these. Every time I go to a club...for the first hour or so I can't stop yawning! Even though I'm not tired. You know what that means...I need more oxygen!

No way! Very much the opposite. It's bullshit. Adding O2 to regular air would give you an even heightened drunk feeling. It's called "hyper-ventilating" hello!? You wouldn't be more alert, you would want to sleep.

Also. It's dehydration that gives you a hangover. Adding O2 will give you only momentary benefits. That is, giving you better access to naturally present endorphins and until your Blood/O2 level settled back down in a matter minutes.

I think it would neat to have, but I doubt the clubs would let you bring in a big spray can into a club, even if its just oxygen...
