Yep. Tastes just like chicken.

I recall enjoying whale a lot when I was a kid. (And other weird seafood in general, though not most fishes)

This Filipino dessert that I LOVEEEE it's called Ensemada (sp?). I don't think it's weird, but apparently to Cale it is. It's this sweet bread and it has this sugar and something spread on the top...I dunno if it's butter icing I think. And then sprinkled with cheese. Delicious.

Yep. Used to have that a lot too. Just roast them and sprinkle some salt on them. (Mixed with gizzards)

I've never had shark so I can't say whether it's similar, but whale meat was pretty salty. (Or was it because I put too much soya sauce on it?)

THANK YOU! Tell that to Cale. He literally threw a fit when I tried to get him to eat it. He spit it out and refused to touch it.

Oh, still one of my fav. was this thing called 'soon dae' which is Korean pork intestine blood sausage. So good, esp. you get other pork leftovers. (heart, intestines, liver, whatever)

You can get soon dae at some Korean restaurants here, but not with the other pork leftover parts and it's just not the same as you'd get at mom and pop joints in marketplace in Korea. (Ok. I'm getting nostalgic this morning)

I want to try buffalo and deer.

Apparently there is this restaurant (the Carnivore or something) in Nairobi, Kenya where you can try all the game meat from African safari. That'd be so cool. (though I dunno whether my stomach can handle it)

Most... odd food experience I had was eating raw octopus while it was still alive. The tentacles still stick to you even after you cut it off from the body. Fun, if you're a little kid amused by these things. (And tastes so good with red pepper paste)

muktuk (raw whale) and raw caribou. They were surprisingly good.

Posted by me@t k@tie on Feb-16-2007 16:03:

And muskox meat (cooked). That is probably my favourite me@t ever!
