used cdj-1000mk2 VS new cdj-800mk2

i am looking ot buy a pair of CDJs and i have a deal in a local shop
basicly for a slight difference of price i could either get a pair of brand new cdj-800mk2 or pay like 100$ more and get a used pair of cdj-1000mk2 with a 30 day warranty

what do you think i should do?

also what are the big differences between the 1000mk2 and 1000mk3

also one thing that scares me is that the cdj-1000mk2 were location items so they have traveled quite a bit and been used by alot of different persons!

go for the 800's.
Ask how much the 1000's have been used and how old they are if there not very old get them it could be abit dodgy getting used cd decks though.

go for the 800's they are really solid ... and the difference is not that big ... when you get new ones you get the warranty and all that ... the 1000s are nice piece of hardware, but what will you do if they break after your first gig?

The 800s are solid man, I have two.

the only thing is the 1000 is soooo much sexier lol!!

the 800mk2 plays mp3's but its not the same as playing music burned normally... the wheel feels slower or something

mk1 , which I own

Scope out those 1000s, if they are in good shape I would get those over the 800s.

You can easily tell how old the 1000's are looking at the serial number label at the back cause it also tells you date of manufacturer.

Personally, having used both 1000's and 800's a lot - I'd go for the used 1000's as they feel much better built and once you get used to that WAVE display, there's no going back.

you can scratch just the same but not as much if you know what i mean, if you're rocking over a beat its fine but scratching through more than 10 seconds or so of the track it has to stop and buffer it

also the max pitch range is 16% not 100% with mp3 and you cant do the super fast search with the jog wheel
