Simon Patterson - Panic Attack [Spinnin' Records]

Another great realise from Simon Patterson for me It's not a bomb as "F-16", however is massive trance
and I always like to listen this kind of production, beacuse they have a big power in
BTW another great realise from my fav Spinnin' Records

Would you like to hear a sample of it ?! Check Simon Patterson's MySpace !

this, is fucking awesome

feint similarities to f16, but without the melody & a whole new plethora of fucked up little fx & intermissions. it's like crazy full on psytrance only at a decent tempo & with more trance-like sounds

'strip search' is wicked too. going by the sample on myspace

definately a club banger

song is sickkk

great track, really enjoying the wicked acid line once more
few similarities to f-16, but they are rather minor

Strip Search has a wicked bassline ... too bad the silly break kinda kills the atmosphere

Panic Attack sounds kinda average.

I haven't heard either of these yet, but I felt the same way about F16

Edit:

Panic Attack is fucking awsome. It's nice to hear popular trance producers still making TRANCE. I also would recommend Octagen & Hydroid's Hydragen - Creature of Habbit. Sounds unlike anything those two have ever made before. My only complaint with Panic Attack is that the break is tooooooo long.

Strip Search sounds pretty similar, I like the crazy fx. It doesn't feel as intense and full on as Panic Attack, with the piano and all.

This guy has some talent, If I was a trance producer I would try to get my basslines kinda like this.

i realy like this track, wasnt too sure about f16 but this imo is simons best work under his own name. the breakdowns chaos by the way haha

Surprisingly good on both Panic Attack and Strip Search, especially the former.

Jus sounds a little bit too much like F16, so I cant give m,ore then 4/& for it.

Posted by AndreaCKY772 on Mar-28-2007 22:23:

i really want to hear it. i went on his myspace but it won't display the tracks that are playing, so i don't know which track was what. there seems to be only one track on his page though because everytime i refreshed the page, the same song would start up.

i might have to restart my comp anyhow because it's been on for a while.

not having a pop at ya or anything but im a little confused why on TA its such a big issue over producers using their own samples on more than one track.
producers are gonna use the same sort of samples and sounds in the majority of their productions because they pick that as their sound and style. i doubt that many(if any) producers throw away all their samples after releasing a track and start over by scratch for their next track, the timescale for that would just be too long.

back to the track, there is a pretty big difference between f16 and panic attack where imo panic attacks more darker and better than the more "judge jules-friendly" f16.
imo it sounds a little like what nick sentience used to put out on nukleuz green about 7 years ago.

they're both decent, solid tracks but really nothing mind-blowing. 'panic attack' is the better of the 2 in my opinion...

Posted by kr00t0n on Apr-16-2007 08:47:

Bassline too much like F16.

Neither really do anything for me, mainly because I have been delving more and more into actual psytrance, leaving stuff like this sounding a little flat.
